Huobi Token Now on Travala.com

World-leading crypto-friendly hotel and travel accommodation booking platform Travala has announced a partnership with Huobi Global.

This is according to a blog post by Travala.com on Wednesday, January 8, 2020. This partnership will help incorporate Huobi Token as a payment method into the travel company’s platform. Crypto exchange Huobi also believes this partnership will help to achieve its aim of bringing crypto to the general public.

Ciara Sun, Chief of Staff and also Head of Global Business Development at Huobi Group, commented on the partnership. She said it will provide more use cases for the Huobi Token. She also added that this addition will create much-needed awareness, making it more “accessible to the general public.”

Travala currently accepts more than 20 digital currencies on its platform. They include TRX, XRP, BCH, Dash, XMR, and BNB.

In celebration of the partnership, all hotel bookings with Huobi Token will enjoy up to 40% discount. Besides, Travala also provides users with additional rewards for all bookings made with AVA. AVA is Travala’s native token.

CEO of Travala.com, Matt Luczynski, welcomed the partnership.

“We are delighted to add the Huobi Token as a preferred payment option and look forward to Huobi Token holders joining our crypto travel booking community,” he said.

Travala currently boasts of having a community of over 2 million hotels in about 230 countries worldwide.

Tourism popularizes crypto

The travel sector has been quite receptive to the cryptocurrency space. In September 2019, Norway’s Norwegian Air launched its own crypto exchange, the Norwegian Block Exchange [NBX].

Recently, Travala has been on a partnership spree. In November 2019 alone, it partnered with Booking.com and Cardano. Binance also recently partnered with TravelByBit. Travala is facilitating crypto adoption and creating more use cases for the digital asset sphere.

Previously, Altcoin Buzz reported about the new initiative launched by IBM and Farmer Connect. Soon customers will be able to trace the origin of coffee beans.
