The announcement was made via a blog post by Brett Musser on Wednesday. The post stated that Edge has integrated LibertyX and MoonPay to its digital wallet structure. This recent addition by Edge aims to increase awareness and adoption of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies by allowing people easy access to “onboard safely” into the crypto space in more ways.

Edge Wallet in an update said:

“Hey everyone, the team has been working hard on-boarding exchanges all over the world. This release will help more people, in more ways, onboard safely and easily into crypto. We have two new options…”

About the two new Payment options

Payment option LibertyX links crypto holders with merchants and ATMs in the United States. It is a product designed by Moon Inc. LibertyX enables edge wallet owners to purchase bitcoin using debit cards and fiat money. LibertyX is in charge of the largest number of Bitcoin ATMs and kiosks in the United States and it allows users to buy up to $3,000 worth of bitcoin in a few minutes.

Edge wallet also incorporated MoonPay. This option was made specifically for non-US users i.e. users in the EU, UK, Canada, and South Korea. It makes it possible for them to purchase a wide range of cryptocurrencies with ApplePay and a few selected credit cards.

The digital currencies supported by MoonPay are BTC, ETH, XRP, USDC, BAT, BCH, BNB, DAI, EOS, LTS, TrueUSD, and XLM. Apart from the introduction of the new payment options, Edge also made improvements to its design and fixed a few insecurities.

Formerly known as AirBitz, Edge provides a multi-coin wallet that can be accessed using mobile devices with iOS or Android operating systems. Edge announced in May this year that users of its wallet can sell bitcoin using Simplex alongside their credit card.
