Justin Sun Dragged to Court by Two Ex-Employees

Popular “hype king” Justin Sun is a defendant in a $15 million workplace harassment lawsuit.

Justin Sun is in trouble. According to reports, Richard Hall, 50, and Lukasz Juraszek, 28 allege that they had to undergo derogatory treatment and harassment from both Sun and Li.

Further adding that this treatment was the driving force behind the termination of their employment last summer at TRON’s sister firm BitTorrent. The two plaintiff’s 70-page report was filed in October last year in California. They claim they lost their job because they objected to management practices put forward by the firm.

Employees subject to verbal and physical abuse

The plaintiffs are asking for $15 million in damages on grounds of wrongful termination, bigotry, emotional stress, and aggressive work environment.

The lawsuit disclosed that Sun allegedly placed a lot of pressure on Hall. Coercing him into fast-tracking the software release of BitTorrent. Despite obvious risks like that of third parties gaining access to the network.

Hall also claimed that Li denied him a vacation already approved by the company. Choosing to go anyway, Li resorted to verbal abuse via email. According to the lawsuit, he made threats like “If you go tighter with me, I will go tighter with you,” “things will end badly for you,” and “I cannot protect you.”

Juraszek, on the other hand, claims that Sun went as far as slapping employees and Li once physically hit a manager after a series of verbal abuse.

TRON’s reply

Speaking on the suit, Li basically dismissed these concerns. He added that there will be no legal reviews of the charges.

In December, Sun and Li challenged the motivation behind the charges. They said: “TRON is not able to speak on the details of pending litigation, but what we can tell you is that our customers, employees and the TRON community are extremely important to us.”

This case put Sun at a disadvantage, opening him up to more criticism and his business to more scrutiny.

TRON is currently valued at $0.016 (up by 3.63 percent over the last 24 hours).

Altcoin Buzz also recently released a report on it claiming to be the second-largest DApp ecosystem of 2019. Allegedly having more than one million active users and over 290 million transactions.
