Consensus 2018 will be held from May 14th-16th in New York City. There will be over 4,000 people in attendance including many prominent names in and outside the crypto industry.

Consensus is a premier world blockchain event where industry experts get together to discuss blockchain’s future. From May 14th-16th at the New York Hilton Midtown, in New York City, there will be a big blockchain technology summit. This summit will have over 250 speakers and over 4,000 attendees varying from investors to industry leaders and financial institutions. A few of the big speakers are: Jeremy Allaire, CEO of Circle Internet Financial, Nicolas Bacca, CTO of Ledger, James Bullard, President and CEO of The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Jack Dorsey, Co-Founder, CEO, and Chairman of Square, Charlie Lee, Creator and Managing Director of Litecoin, Brian Quintenz, Commissioner of the US Commodities Futures Trading Commission, reporters from multiple news desks, many Founders/CEO’s from multiple cryptocurrencies, and other prominent figures from across different industries (to see the full list click here). All of these bright minds are engaging attendees with important topics like interoperability, regulatory compliance enforcement, using blockchain in government, and other important topics (to see the full agenda click here.

In 2017 this summit had over 2,700 attendees (35% executives), 125+ speakers, and over 80 sponsors. Over the last few years attendance at Consensus has really exploded, the first event had around 400 attendees and this year they are expecting well over 4,000. It is one of the biggest blockchain events in the world.

This summit is a big platform for coins, tokens, and ICO’s to release their upcoming news so they can maximize their coverage. With all the good news last year the total market cap went from about $75 billion to about $90 billion by the end of the event (about 20% increase). While crypto is always unpredictable, another run-up in price is not out of the question. Check back during and after the summit for updates and summaries.
