To roll out its Grammys NFTs, the Academy secured a three-year partnership with Tezos-based green NFT marketplace OneOf. The collaboration will entail OneOf releasing digital collectibles and experiences celebrating Grammy nominees and winners.
Also, the Academy noted that it chose to build on OneOf because of Tezo’s environmentally friendly feature. It explained that Tezos is more energy-efficient than other proof-of-work blockchains and uses less energy to mint NFTs.
OneOf NFTs Will Empower The Music Industry
OneOf Co-Founders Lin Dai, Adam Fell, and Joshua James lauded the new partnership. The NFT platform founders noted that digital collectibles could empower the music industry according to the partnership.
According to them, if NFTs are correctly used, they will empower the music industry in a way like no other has done it before. Also, they further expressed delight to be working with the Recording Academy to roll out its NFTs.
Also, the Academy disclosed that a % of the NFTs profits would go to its scholarship fund. Furthermore, it noted that more information on the collection will be unveiled in January 2022 ahead of the 64th Grammy Awards.
