Cardano signs MOU with Ethiopia to explore blockchain solutions for Agritech. The agreement was acknowledged to train blockchain developers and to promote the usage of Cardano’s technology in the agriculture industry.

Cardano lead Charles Hoskinson announced in a tweet this morning that Cardano will be working with Ethiopia in finding blockchain solutions to the countries agriculture industry. Cardano and Ethiopia’s Ministry of Science and Technology signed a Memorandum of understanding (MOU) to train Ethiopians in understanding blockchain tech and its potential benefits to Ethiopia.

A signed MOU does not necessarily hold any binding agreements, but Ethiopian developers are expected to be contributing to the Cardano code by the end of 2018. It remains unclear when the collaboration will start exactly – or when we can expect to see the first results of this MOU.

In other Cardano news, Cardano currently is valued at $0.355 an asset, up 18.65% over the last 7 days according to CoinCheckup. For those unfamiliar, Cardano is building a decentralized blockchain platform that will support smart contracts and decentralized applications – similarly to Ethereum.
