Twitch NFT

The popular NFT platform, PlayNFT, will launch a plugin that lets Twitch streamers have a better community engagement with Enjin blockchain’s support.

To achieve this, Enigma Games has partnered with Efinity parachain to mint and scale Enjin – NFTs in Twitch. This move will provide its audience access to real-value rewards.

Interestingly, Twitch viewers will also be able to receive their rewards directly on the Twitch platform.

More on The Partnership

This move is the first of its kind in the NFT gaming ecosystem. According to the official press release, Enjin’s Efinity plugin will help connect Twitch community members to exciting games, enabling streamers to easily mint NFTs to use them in games like MyMeta Minecraft, Shield of Shalwend, etc.

Moreover, the CEO of Enigma Games, Xavier Moore said “We think NFTs, as a form of social currency, are going to become the most popular community engagement tool on the internet.” Adding that Twitch community members “[…] are constantly searching for ways to reach new audiences and connect with them on a deeper level.”

On the other hand, Communications VP at Enjin, Bryana Kortendick, also spoke highly of PlayNFT. Referring to it as the “[…] world’s first NFT-utility marketplace.” Adding that, “Until now, there’s been no easy way for creators to make their NFTs usable in third-party games and apps.”

First Emoticons, now NFTs on Twitch

Twitch currently offers to its community members basic emoticons that can only be used within the Twitch ecosystem. Enigma is looking to expand this service. Now, thanks to this alliance, PlayNFT will enable streamers with the opportunity to create unique and branded NFTs.

Also, these NFTs can be used across a wide range of games and applications, as compared to Twitch basic emoticons. Moreover, Enigma Games will help improve the user experience (UX) on twitch.
