Travala.com Adds Support for Zilliqa ZIL Tokens

You can now make bookings for the trip of your dreams on Travala.com with Zilliqa ZIL tokens.

Travala.com, the popular cryptocurrency-friendly hotel booking firm, has announced that interested persons can make bookings on its platform with Zilliqa ZIL tokens. To further encourage users, the platform is offering amazing discounts on all bookings made with Zilliqa.

Interestingly, Travala.com first listed support for Zilliqa tokens in October. In an October blog post, the travel booking platform disclosed that it now accepts ZIL tokens. Prior to its ZIL token listing, Travala.com already supported a number of crypto tokens, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and its native AVA token. The platform has been touted as a major player in the crypto travel sphere.

Co-CEO of Zilliqa, Colin Miles, at the time of the listing, talked about the effect of the coronavirus on the travel space. He said, “This year has taught us that the online travel market must innovate and adapt much like any other to thrive.”

According to him, the partnership with Travala.com was a welcome one.

CEO of Travala.com, Juan Otero, also disclosed the partnership shows the firm’s commitment to the crypto industry.

ZIL Token Reward Program

The ZIL token is ready to be used for booking in Travala.com at over 2.2 million hotels globally. To further celebrate this, the travel company has launched a special launch offer.

For every booking with ZIL during this festive season, users get a 15% cashback.

The onslaught of the coronavirus led to a significant drop in traffic for the booking platform. This drop was majorly as a result of current travel restrictions. These restrictions were notably put in place to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Travala.com, however, has continued to have a positive outlook about the situation. The company is also actively committed to building its ecosystem in preparation for the anticipated post-COVID-19 travel boom.
