Brave Browser Got 10M Users

Brave Browser is rapidly enlarging its community. Recently, it has attracted an additional 19% of users, reaching a new milestone of 10 million users.

In a tweet, Brave Browser announced that it has more than 10 million active users per month. The growth has been ongoing since the launch of Brave 1.0 in November 2019. To compare: In October, the number of users stood at 8.7 million.

Besides, the company states that in the last 12 months the number of daily active Brave users has tripled to 3.3 million. And the number of content creators who signed up to receive payments in BAT tokens increased from the 28,000 (year start) to 340,000 (year-end).

In mid-November, Brave Software released the first major version of the browser after three years of beta. It aims to provide users with a full range of unique features, including automatic advertising and blocking of trackers, BAT-based ads and much more.

Quite a growth

The platform started in 2015 and managed to secure an impressive audience within a very short period of time. This growth is due to several factors, one of which is the launch of a program to reward users for viewing selected ads on the platform.

This incentive scheme played an important role in increasing the monthly active users of the platform.

Another important growth factor is the dynamics of the Basic Attention Token (BAT). To that end, Brave Browser offers cryptocurrency payout surfing. Users can choose to advertise and in return receive a share of revenue in BAT.

Besides, the browser’s founders pay significant attention to user privacy. “Users are growing increasingly aware of how they are being violated by large technology companies. And they are displeased with the tracking and targeting that comes with digital ads,” said Brendan Eich, CEO and co-founder of Brave Software.

Brave Browser has an in-built BAT wallet, and 25% of browser users have BAT tokens.

Recently, the company launched its reward program for iPhone users.
