Although the deep red numbers today won’t get crypto traders excited, the Cardano community got some good news: EMURGO’s Yoroi Wallet is now available on Android.
Over the past 24 hours, the Cardano price has lost almost 9% in value after Bitcoin dropped by more than 3%. The Cardano price fell to $0.038 with a further decline to be expected.
Nevertheless, a product release by EMURGO today gave the Cardano community a reason for a small celebration. Yoroi, a new wallet for Cardano, has been released on Android. The iOS version will be coming to market in the coming days or weeks, depending on Apple’s approval.

The release of Yoroi is another big step forward in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Mobile wallets are in high demand and according to the official EMURGO website, the wallet is “secure, fast, and simple”.
Yoroi is a light wallet, which means it does not require a full copy of the blockchain to be stored on the user’s device. This means the bandwidth requirements for using the wallet are also low. Furthermore, the Cardano wallet supports multiple languages. For 2019, stake pool is just an advancement promised by the roadmap.
Private keys of user wallets are only stored locally on the user’s device, and this data is encrypted with a wallet password. Private keys are never stored on any centrally-hosted servers.
