Ecwid integrates Crypto.com for crypto payments

World-renowned eCommerce platform, Ecwid, has integrated popular fintech payment app Crypto.com Pay plugin in its check out.

Now, Ecwid users can make payments for purchased items with cryptocurrency using Crypto.com Pay. The eCommerce platform currently boasts of over 1 million Ecwid online shops in over 75 countries worldwide.

Crypto.com confirmed this announcement in an official blog post. With this integration, the fintech platform will add over 1 million merchants via Ecwid. Moreover, this would go a long way in facilitating global crypto adoption and awareness.

As a result, merchants on the Ecwid platform could now “easily accept cryptocurrency through the Crypto.com Pay checkout plugin”. Besides, it also comes with an offer for zero settlement transaction fees for the first six months.

According to the announcement, merchants will be able to accept payments in Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), Ripple (XRP) and Crypto.com native tokens (CRO).

Furthermore, there is an important feature to benefit the merchants still skeptical of the volatile nature of cryptocurrencies. It enables them to opt immediately for the conversion of crypto to fiat. Incidentally, the fiat currencies that the Crypo.com platform support include the US Dollar and the Euro.
