Ledger Integrates Decentralized Finance (DeFi) Platform – ParaSwap

Ledger users will now be able to access the DeFi markets directly.

Ledger, a cryptocurrency hardware wallet maker announced the integration of a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform, ParaSwap, into its Ledger Live app.

With this integration, the Ledger Live trading app will give users the opportunity to access the decentralized finance (DeFi) markets using ParaSwap. Users of the Ledger Live app will be able to swap tokens on Ethereum from within their wallets.

“By using the ParaSwap decentralized application (dApp), you’ll now be able to exchange a number of Ethereum-native tokens, in a decentralized way, while enjoying the nit-tight security of your Nano hardware wallet,” the report stated.

Additionally, using ParaSwap via Ledger gives users the chance to maximize their crypto-swap experience. Users will reportedly be able to get the best rate possible, remain in control of assets, and have their private keys secured within the Nano hardware wallet.

“Your private keys will never leave the security of your hardware wallet, guaranteeing a hack-proof experience when swapping your crypto,” the report added.

Chief experience officer at Ledger, Ian Rogers, stated that ParaSwap provides an easier interface, and that rationale was behind choosing ParaSwap over its competitors.

Concerning future plans, Rogers revealed that they will be working on supporting more DeFi platforms. Although, he didn’t mention a particular name.

About Ledger

Ledger creates hardware wallets that make it possible for users to keep their digital assets in a USB drive, while maintaining control of the keys. The wallet model is the opposite of the software wallets, which keeps digital assets online usually on a server.

Recently, Ledger announced a partnership with Wyre aimed at providing safe crypto access to U.S.-based users. This will be done by creating more coins, more states, ACH bank transfers, and giving them greater ease of use and freedom of choice.
