Top Upcoming Crypto Events (4/26 - 5/2)

The blockchain and crypto sphere has attracted the attention of people all around the globe. In line with this, the crypto space has seen a rapid increase in investors, both individuals and institutional grade.

To keep readers abreast of happenings in the crypto space, we have compiled several top upcoming crypto events expected to take place next week. These top upcoming crypto events will range from partnership announcements to mainnet launches to product releases.

  1. TomoFinance Launch

Popular proof-of-stake (PoS), scalable blockchain platform TomoChain has announced the launch of its TomoFinance, slated to take place on April 26, 2021. TomoFinance is a platform focused on the issuance of Tomo’s decentralized TAI stablecoin. The platform will also help accelerate the growth of TomoChain’s DeFi ecosystem. The TAI stablecoin is a TRC-21 token backed 1:1 with the U.S. dollar. To generate TAI, users only need to deposit their collateral (TOMO) on TomoFinance by creating a Collateralized Debt Position (CDP).

Interestingly, TomoChain recently launched farming on its LuaSwap platform.

2. Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) Coming Soon on Proton

Proton, a decentralized exchange with a popular payment blockchain, has announced the commencement of NFT trading on its market. The platform made this announcement on Twitter. Beginning on April 26, 2021, interested persons can now commence the buying, selling, and creation of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on Proton. According to the tweet, the entire process will require low gas fees, real-time transactions, top-notch UX on its mobile interface, and so much more.

3. BakerySwap NFT Gallery Exclusive 3D Event

The first-ever AMM and NFT platform on Binance Smart Chain (BSC), BakerySwap, has announced the commencement of a 3D art exclusive event. The 3D NFT event is slated to take place on April 27, 2021. Of particular interest are the 16 NFTs that are one of one editions.

4. Centaur Mainnet Launch

Centaur is a protocol focused on connecting decentralized finance (DeFi) with the conventional finance space. The protocol, in a March 5 AMA, revealed plans of its roadmap, including several top updates expected to take place this year. Among these updates is its Centaur Chain mainnet launch, slated to take place on April 28, 2021. The Centaur Chain mainnet launch, according to the AMA event, focuses on CeDeFi integrations and other cross-chain settlements.

5. Qtum New Version Launch

Popular proof-of-stake (PoS) decentralized application platform Qtum will be launching a new version massive upgrade to Qtum node. The FastLane hard fork, featuring 32-second blocks, is expected to take place at block height 845,000. This block height is expected to take place on April 30, 2021, at 5:30 am (UTC). This launch will be followed by its first block halving on December 1, 2021.

6. IoTex v1.2 Mainnet Launch

Founded in 2017, IoTex is an open-source platform focused on building the Internet of Trusted Things, which is an ecosystem where all “things” can easily interact. These include interactions between humans, machines, businesses, dApps, etc. This interaction also takes place at zero risk of loss of privacy or trust. The IoTex team has been hard at work over the last couple of months on its version 1.2 mainnet launch. The mainnet v1.2 launch will take place next week. The launch is expected to take the entire IoTex ecosystem to new heights.
