The Creator Network is designed on Polkadot/Substrate to ensure proper interoperability, customization, and user-driven network governance that’s focused on DeFi, NFT, and other blockchain services.
The CFO of Altcoin Buzz, Shitij Gupta, anchored the Creator Network AMA session on our Telegram channel. He was joined by Tony Tran, the CEO of Creator Network. The AMA took place on September 22nd, 2021.
Below is a recap of the AMA session with Tony Tran to understand what the company has been up to recently.
Q – The market seems quite choppy. What do you make of the market, and what’s to come?
I think it’s time for the correction. Then, it will go up higher by the end of the year. You can see the market condition now is really different compared with the previous years. The capacity is really big, and it’s the right time for other quality projects to join the market.
Q – Tell us about yourself, Tony. What’s your background, and how did you come up with the idea of Creator?
Well, my name is Tony Tran – the CEO and co-founder of Creator. I started my career and worked in the IT industry for a course of 15 years, in which almost 10 years were spent specializing in blockchain, IoT, and AI.
I have a huge passion for experiencing the latest technologies, so I never miss out on any technological changes. Such as front-end and back-end apps, programming languages, and the current market trend of crypto and blockchain. I believe with my knowledge and experience, Creator will be a rising star in the blockchain sky and empower the economy.
Q – What is Creator Chain Network and how will it be used?
Creator is a Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform that provides No Code Smart Contract, Low Code dApp, and other services to empower the DeFi and NFT world.
Recently, blockchain technology is showing its immense potential and increasingly demonstrated capability. With the mission to make blockchain more accessible to users, even those without any blockchain skills, as well as expand its applications to a wide range of industries, our team decided to implement the project of Creator.
Creator’s blockchain features shall broaden the gate for every game studio and developer to enter the gamified NFT and blockchain industry. Creator is outstanding for four main features: No Code Smart Contract, Low Code dApp, loyalty program, and DeFi services. For more details, please go to the official website.
Q – Could you expand on some of these concepts. What do these terms mean and how does a smart contract or a dApp work otherwise?
No Code Smart Contract is a service that allows any user without blockchain skill the ability to create and deploy a smart contract by just entering some parameters in the web form. No Code Smart Contract is focused on the end-user.
Low Code dApp will focus on IT companies, or groups of users, and they can do some coding for the UI. Then, they can use our provided APIs to build their own dApp.
Q – Why did you decide to build on Substrate?
Yeah, a lot of people asked me this question. As you might know, Substrate could give the best support for blockchain projects to reduce the need for forces to get involved and avoid wasting resources while producing the highest level of proficiency for the overall system.
Substrate allows us to build blockchain with widely used and tested technologies. Substrate supports multiple smart contract platforms, including the EVM. Substrate uses Wasm, which means that we can develop smart contracts using any compatible language.
As the framework is modular, it gives us enough technological freedom. Also, Substrate is natively compatible with Polkadot.
Q – Going back a little bit to the No and Low Code setup. Can you give a use case of how a person with minimal tech background can use it efficiently? What sort of dApps can be created out of it?
For example, a user is a painter. He wants to distribute his product as an NFT product. They can use our No Code Smart Contract to start generating his own token (if he wants), set the token symbol and utility of that on the form, and then deploy it.
Next step is generating an NFT on the same No Code Smart Contract service, set the price, upload the picture, and then other users can start trading that painting on the NFT marketplace.
Q – Tell us about the major utilities of holding the Creator native token (CRT). How does the team plan to enhance its further value to attract more users?
You can see more in this picture:
To begin with, the CTR token can be used to pay fees for the BaaS infrastructure as well as any transactions on the Creator platform. At the same time, holders can use CTR to purchase NFTs of creative items on the marketplace, which can be exchanged for loyalty points, vouchers, gifts, or parachain rewards.
You may also use the DeFi protocol to switch from any other token. Holders can raise their membership status and reap additional benefits from the ecosystem.
CTR is interoperable with other chains such as Ethereum, Polkadot, and Binance. Creator commits to offer you an optimized cost, full-fit service, and shortened go-live time. We are delighted to announce that we are working on staking and farming to attract holders. Please follow us on our social media platforms for additional information. We’ll keep you informed.
Q – The Creator team has recently finished implementing the testnet. Where can one use it, and what are all features users get access to?
Currently, we have finished our testnet, and we are going to release a new add-on on our platform which is staking at the end of Q4. Users can try our testnet here.
For the feature, we just finished the beta version, but you can try out this link for the No Code Smart Contract feature. But, please notice that this is the testing version and not finished yet.
Q – What are some of the competitors you’ve identified, and how is Creator different?
Well, you can refer to the picture below to get a quick understanding how Creator performs among our competitors:
Unlike other platforms such as OpenSea and XP.net, which are more about NFT-oriented solutions and products, Creator providers operate a managed blockchain platform, supplying all of the infrastructures and often many of the tools needed to build full-fledged decentralized applications (dApps) for different types of users: individuals, merchants, or developers.
Q – What is the “Creator Top Fan Contest” which started on September 15, 2021? Can you please share the details of this contest with the Altcoin Buzz community?
To celebrate the success of the Creator IDO and to determine potential advocates of Creators in the upcoming time when we release MVPs and products following the roadmap, we are happy to organize the “Creator Top Fan Contest,” starting from September 15, 2021.
We are so delighted to see that many people have joined the contest, showing that they pay a great attention to our project. This contest will close at 6PM UTC today. Hurry up!!!
The opportunity is still open for members who have registered. Just few hours to go, guys. For people that have missed the contest this time, please follow up. We will soon open a more interesting contest like this for you to participate and receive numerous rewards.
Afterward, four questions from the Twitter giveaway were taken.
Q. Twitter – Since I am also interested in the BaconDAO project, your partnership announcement with BaconDAO took my attention. Can you please tell me why you choose to work together with BaconDAO, and how will they contribute to Creator?
Yeah, BaconDAO is our early investor and close friend. They helped to promote projects via videos, reviews, etc. We will have more activities with them in the next roadmap of Creator.
Q. Twitter – Many projects implement a system of reducing inflation and reducing prices. So do you have a burning system or plan to integrate something like that? Or did you implement another strategy to ensure the price of the $CTR token is stable?
Well, token designs guarantee the stable development of the Creator project and also raise the benefit of buyers/investors. At the moment, we do not have any plan to burn our token. That’s not the way to increase the value of tokens. It’s an unsustainable way to keep our holders with us.
We’d rather develop and upgrade our products and create an ecosystem to build a sustainable environment for all users and our partners. First shoot will be staking, which will soon be released at the end of Q3.
Q. Twitter – What is your revenue model? In which ways do you generate revenue/profit? So many projects just like to speak about the “long term vision and mission,” but what are your short term objectives? What are you focusing on right now?
You are right. Every project has its own business model. Sometimes, because of some reasons, they can’t go till the end with it. BUT – Creator is really different since we are backed by a VMO group with more than 800 developers and expert blockchain teams of 20 engineers. Besides that, we are actually working on our launchpad, marketplace, and staking services all together and plan to release them within November, 2021. Not too long from now.
In addition, we are also incubating a NFT game project, which is our first use case, that will be released by this October. Our vision is to contribute to community, not just funding.
Q. Twitter – Developers are the heart and soul of a great project. Are there any hackathon or bounty programs announced? And how do you plan on to reach the non-technical users side to make them engaged?
So happy to hear that many developers are interested in our project. As of now, we do not have any Bug Bounty Program yet. In the near future, we’re planning to do a hackathon, where all developers are welcomed. Keep updated to out Creator official channel for the latest information.
At the moment, we will have the CTR Tokens Bonus for people who report vulnerable codes or contribute to the development of our project. Any constructive idea is always appreciated.
