Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has yet again commented on cryptocurrencies. This time he had a say in the “You are not Satoshi” challenge.

Elon Musk recently became CEO of Dogecoin, albeit for a very short period of time. However, the well-known entrepreneur is not losing his interest in the crypto realm. Most recently he had his say in the ongoing “You are not Satoshi” challenge. The latter aims to assert that Craig Wright is not the real Satoshi Nakamoto, particularly by mocking his attempts to sue the crypto-verse. @CryptoCobain is among those who ridiculed Wright’s undertaking. In his tweet, he addressed Musk as ‘bitch’ and demanded that he sues him. Musk responded succinctly: “Cryptocurrency is my safe word.”

Satoshi or not Satoshi?

The “You are not Satoshi” challenge started out when Craig Wright decided to take to court those who believe that he is not the creator of BTC. The case is simple: Wright says he is Nakamato, others deem him a fraud. Wright claims that he has undeniable proof, others point out that he has been caught lying on several occasions. Eventually, Calvin Ayre, Wright’s personal assistant, broke the news that Wright filed defamation complaints to some people. One thing is clear: @CryptoCobain is not among them and he seems upset about it. The ‘luckier’ guys include @hodlnaut, an anonymous Twitter account that created the #CraigWrightIsAFraud campaign, Vitalik Buterin, and Peter McCormack. All of them have apparently received letters that contain something that might be qualified as a threat.

All in all, Wright’s behavior grabbed the attention to the full. In fact, everyone got extremely ###d off. Even Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, commented on the matter and threatened to delist Wright’s BSV.

Anthony Pompliano was early to the party as well, supporting the delisting of BSV. Following these tweets, the coin has slightly lost in price and is currently trading at $69.55.

With that said, Wright’s ambitions to prove that he is Satoshi are digestible. After all, nobody has provided evidence beyond a reasonable doubt, enabling all sorts of claims and speculation. The real identity of Nakamoto will remain as cryptic as his/her invention. It might be Nick Szabo — or someone completely different.

Lesia Dubenko
A warm hello from Ukraine! My name is Lesia, I am a journalist, writer, political scientist, and crypto enthusiast. Before joining AltcoinBuzz in May I knew nothing about crypto, I was in the dark (it was very gloomy indeed). I was all skeptic and suspicious. But then one day, probably in June-July when I was doing a podcast with James and Matt, I finally grasped the concept in full. That is when I truly started to enjoy it thoroughly. I am a big believer in crypto and blockchain. There is no doubt that it is the future. But be patient, it needs time, like a fine Chardonnay. However, if you want to know when the next bull run is happening, I highly recommend asking Luc Lammers. He will definitely spill the beans! xxx
