Q – Tell us about Geojam. How did you come up with the idea of a blockchain-based social engagement platform?
Sarah – Let’s do it. As super fans ourselves, we believe in the power of fandom and putting a value on its intangibles. Creating a fully decentralized ecosystem gives fans and creators the perfect win-win economy to create together.
That’s why our mission is to help the world experience moments together. There is nothing like seeing a person have a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
We launched in October of 2020 alongside celebrity backers including Mariah Carey, Nyjah Huston, 24kGoldn, and more.
Q – Tell us a bit about your Team. Where is the team based?
Sarah – We are based out of Los Angeles, California, NYC, and Singapore. We have a 13-person team with years of experience in social media, crypto, NFTS, marketing, artist management, tech, and user experience.
I exited my first company at 20 and have been in the crypto industry since 2017 on the marketing and investing side, I am also a UX designer. Our COO, Sam has been working in the entertainment and tech industry for 10+ years. Besides, our CTO built the app for Major League Baseball in the US (Acquired by Disney for 1B+).

Q – If I am a content creator and I want to publish my content on Geojam. How do I go about it? Can you share the step-by-step process with the community? Also, mention what type of content Geojam supports?
Sarah – Yes. Creators don’t have much to do on Geojam. Content is easily monetized for creators. There are a lot of ways creators can use $JAM to earn and connect with their fans. Here are a few:
Video, music, photo, polls, proposals, experiences, and NFTs are available in creator communities.
Q – Had a question regarding point 1. What are Creators Access Pools, CAPs? How do they work?
Sarah – Creator access pools (CAPs) fuel the Geojam token economy. Creators come up with unique opportunities that will invite users to participate with $JAM. Also, a user can contribute $JAM to a creator’s CAP to unlock direct access to their experiences, tickets, merchandise, NFTs, content, etc. Geojam gives full control to the creator and their community to create and earn together.
Q – So how is the native $Jam token integrated into all these? What are the multiple ways of earning for the users?
Sarah – JAM’s utility is designed to create an optimal and mutually beneficial ecosystem for creators, communities, and their fans. The first step in doing that is redirecting the flows of incentives away from social media conglomerates and back into the hands of the creators and fans with decentralization. Content operators democratize content moderation. Creator access pools create micro-economies fuelled by JAM. The Jam Shop creates a 360-degree economy for users to redeem JAM for unique products, merchandise, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

Users earn $JAM by contributing to the ecosystem through quality content voted and liked by the community. It is the people’s social platform, and $JAM is the fuel.
Q – We are now seeing content creators trying to explore the Metaverse. What do you think about the future of the Metaverse and do you think in the long run you will follow a metaverse model to a certain extent? For example, creators can sell tickets to their own metaverse shows in Geojam 360.
Sarah – Oh yes the Metaverse. Geojam loves the Metaverse, mainly because we love bringing people together.
The Metaverse allows us to bring people all over the world into a virtual world. In Geojam’s Metaverse you will also be able to jump into communities, concerts, and even shop with your favorite creators.
Q – Tell us about how was the experience of shifting from a Web 2 social application to a Web 3 platform? What were some key challenges that were faced by the team?
Sarah – It’s a transformation, an exciting one. I have always wanted to move towards decentralization. I believe it’s the future. The transition was fun for us… The best way to say it is that Web 2 is about me, and Web 3 is about us. The community sits at the heart of Web3 companies and Geojam.
Q – Can you tell us more about the Emerging Artist Program?
Sarah – The Geojam Emerging Artist Program gives up-and-coming artists access to Geojam and its technology, to provide curated experiences, custom merchandise, and direct accessibility to their fanbase.
We give up-and-coming artists the same tools we give Mariah Carey or Machine Gun Kelly to help them tap into their fanbase.
Q – You have made some great partnerships. What can we expect from Geojam in the upcoming days?
Sarah – Well we just finished our #Jamchella event at Coachella Music Festival it was epic! So expect a lot of recap content from that with A-List Talent.
