It leverages DVT from the SSV network to enhance Lido functionality for ETH staking.
The basic DVT module is working on diversifying the node operators linked to Lido. It utilizes the abilities of the SSV network to improve efficiency, distribution, and security. The basic DVT module sets the pace for more scalable and permissionless DVT-based models.
Enhancing Lido Functionality with DVT from SSV Network
Eridian, the administrator of the basic DVT at SSV Network, said this about the launch: “The Lido middleware will use DVT and SSV to increase node operators. It enables solo home stakers to take part as node operators. SSV serves as a low/no coordination DVT solution and will lead to the development of trustless modules.”
The Simple DVT Module will cap 0.5% of all ETH tokens staked by middleware users. Lido DAO increased the limit to 4% after a vote for the same factor. Some DVT clusters tested on the Lido testnet have since deployed keys on the mainnet.

So, the integration of DVT within Lido will draw attention to DVT and improve staking. It will expand Lido middleware node operators, enhance redundancy, and downgrade bonds. DVT can also reduce stakers’ hardware and capital needed for network activity. Node operators then use DVT infrastructure, such as SSV, to join the future Staking Module. Lido is one of those staking solutions that connect DVT with SSV Network infrastructure.
More About SSV Network’s DVT
Will Shannon, a contributor supporting the Lido middleware, said: “Incorporating DVT is the fastest way to expand the node operators using Lido to run validators. Simple DVT is the first step, with an opportunity to connect over 300 new node operators to the middleware. The SSV team has developed a performant DVT protocol. The protocol will improve the decentralization and resilience of node operators.”

DVT is gaining importance in decentralizing ETH staking and improving network security. It avoids the issues of having single points of failure and slashing. Many participants can run a validator, including professional node operators and home stakers. It can help manage the problems of centralization.
SSV Network is an open-source protocol. It allows anyone to use its staking technology to create DVT-powered applications. Since its permissionless launch in December, the protocol and its 700+ node operators have secured over 1 million ETH. As the Simple DVT module goes live, this number will increase alongside many builders in its ecosystem.
