More exciting upcoming crypto events are expected to take place in this new week. This article gives an overview of some of these crypto events people can look forward to.

For this week, upcoming crypto events include the launch of the Plethori staking platform, the Zilliqa mainnet update, and more.

  1. Coinsuper to List DogeCoin

On May 10, 2021, Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinsuper will list Dogecoin. Dogecoin has been in the limelight in recent times for all the right reasons. The meme-themed cryptocurrency designed after the Shiba Inu was launched in 2013. The crypto, over the last couple of months, has experienced a price boost, with several enthusiasts of the opinion that it was gearing towards $1.

2. PancakeSwap to Add Support for Equal Network EQL

Popular DeFi platform and Automated Marker Maker (AMM) PancakeSwap has announced plans to list Equal Network’s EQL tokens. The listing, according to reports, is scheduled to take place on May 10, 2021, and will mark Equal Networkโ€™s first move into AMM. Equal Network will soon announce details on farming and Syrup Pool staking on PancakeSwap.

3. Plethori to Launch Its Staking Platform

The platform is scheduled to go live on May 10, 2021. The staking platform’s launch will make it possible for users to earn APY as high as 40% on their stakings. To ensure smooth sailing, Plethori also enlisted the services of Solidity Finance to help with its security audit.

4. Zilliqa Mainnet v.8.0.0 Upgrade

Sharding-based blockchain platform Zilliqa has revealed plans to launch its mainnet v.8.0.0 upgrade. The mainnet upgrade is expected to take place on May 11, 2021. The upgrade will be immediately followed by the migration of its staking contract to phase 1.1. The phase 1.1 staking contract will bring to life several important features like delegatorsโ€™ wallet swapping amongst other functional improvements. It is, however, important to note that the migration process will place on hold all staking activities until it is completed.

5. Secret Network (SCRT) Secret Heroes NFT launch

Privacy-preserving smart contract platform Secret Network (SCRT) has disclosed plans to launch its Secret Heroes NFT-based game. The game uses Secret NFTs. The launch is scheduled to take place on May 11, 2021, and will be accompanied by an NFT airdrop.

It is important to note that to receive the NFT airdrop, participants will need to generate a SCRT wallet address. This can, however, only be done using the Keplr browser extension wallet. Users partaking in the airdrop will receive a free personalized Secret Hero as an NFT.

6. Swipe to Launch Swipe Swap Ignition IDO Sale

Swipe is popularly known for working to bridge together the crypto space and the commerce industry. The platform has revealed plans to launch the first on-chain Swipe Swap ignition IDO sale. The sale will be for a project looking to revamp the way NFT management is currently carried out in the crypto space. The project is currently live on both Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and Ethereum (ETH).

The IDO sale will take place on May 12, with Swipe native token SXP as the payment token.
