In an announcement made yesterday, DeRace is undergoing a 10 Day ecosystem expansion
The $DERC blockchain-based horse racing game is ready for an exciting week. In a tweet made yesterday from the official DeRace account, the metaverse horse racing ecosystem is expanding.

With events like giveaways, special races, and more promised, current players are in for huge rewards. Additionally, over the next week and a half, the game is also expanding.
But what is this metaverse horse racing game? And why should you consider buying the NFT Secretariat?
What is DeRace?
DeRace is a growing P2E horse racing game, where players can own, breed, and race their own NFT horses. And the best part: you can make a decent profit doing so.
To participate, all you need to do is own a DeRace horse and some $DERC for entry fees. Each horse has different traits that may benefit or hinder it during different race types. Each race is determined by RNG, and the winner gets a percent of the pool of entry fees, as well as other prizes.
Additionally, you will soon be able to own your own hippodrome. This allows you to become a bookmaker and own the venue where the races take place. Bookmakers take a percent of the total prize pool for passive rewards!
What to Expect With 10-Day DeRace Expansion
The initial tweet is fairly cryptic, with not much more info available on the Discord server. But, if we dig a little deeper, we can make some safe assumptions.
When we look at the project roadmap for late January and February, we can see some interesting features in the pipeline. Features like:
- Single-sided staking for NFTs
- Hippodromes
- Tournaments with special prize pools
- Mini-games

The DeRace ecosystem token, $DERC, is sitting at $1.66. This is up 4.6% the last 24 hours. The project has a 24hour volume of $1,936,848, a 1% decrease.
