Particl marketplace adds privacy token Zcoin

The world’s arguably most private and decentralized marketplace Particl has disclosed plans to include privacy token Zcoin (XZC) on its platform.

This means users will be able to purchase anything on Particl marketplace with privacy-centered Zcoin’s native token XZC. According to reports, the listing is scheduled to take place on July 6, 2020, at 3:00 PM (UTC). To make purchases on the platform, users will first need to top up their Particl account with Zcoin. Notably, Zcoin is the second crypto to be listed on the decentralized marketplace, following only after Bitcoin listing.

Better privacy for users

Zcoin listing on Particl will provide users with more use cases. Community members will now enjoy a safer and better way to spend the crypto without the need of a middle exchange. All Zcoin purchases on Particl will also be completely anonymous. Leaving behind no digital footprint, transaction data, personal information, metadata, or any form of communication. Particl users, on the other hand, will enjoy better accessibility from Zcoin listing. Subsequently leading to the expansion of the decentralized market place as more users will have better access to the platform. Zcoin listing comes ahead of the platform’s proposed version 3.0 upgrade. Find out more about Particl V3.0 launch here.

In line with the proposed listing, Reuben Yap and Dr. Kap will take part in an onboarding talk slated for July 6. For the uninformed, Reuben Yap is Zcoin’s Project Steward while Dr. Kap is Particl’s ambassador.

It is, however, crucial to note that all purchases made will ultimately be resolved using Particl native token PART. This essentially ensures better security on the platform as the marketplace runs a two-party escrow smart-contract.

While both parties are privacy-focused, they each have different approaches to privacy. Zcoin currently makes use of the SIGMA protocol with plans already in place to migrate to Lelantus. Zcoin protocol burns crypto and then redeems them at a later point with no digital trail. This method allegedly eliminates the possibility of tracing transactions.

Particl protocol, however, does not work with burning or redeeming coins. Instead, it makes use of the RingCT a protocol that combines coins with others, then uses “decoys” to further conceal the payment trail.

Irrespective of these differences, the combination of both Zcoin and Particl privacy-nature will provide users with top-notch privacy benefits.

About Zcoin and Particl

Privacy-focused open-source, decentralized privacy coin Zcoin (XZC) is the first crypto to design and implement the SIGMA protocol. Plans are, however, in place to move to the recently created Lelantus protocol this year.

Particl, on the other hand, is a global privacy-centered and censorship-resistant eCommerce platform. Majorly built on blockchain and P2P tech, it aims at ensuring users are in sole control of their funds. In the decentralized marketplace, users worldwide can purchase anything without a single digital trail. It is completely trustless and free from all forms of third-party input.
