BitTorrent gets delisted

It was Binance that introduced BitTorrent (BTT) token to the investors. Back in January 2019, the Binance Launchpad executed the BTT Initial Exchange Offering. And just 9 months after it announces the BTT/BTC trading pair delisting.

BitTorrent’s pair is not the only one that got axed. A couple of hours back, Binance announced the delisting of 30 trading pairs including BitTorrent/Bitcoin. Interestingly, 6 out of these 30 trading pairs had launched on Binance Launchpad. Check out the long list at the bottom.

Explaining the sudden removal, the exchange says the crypto-community and some project teams suggested the move. As it will enhance the exchange liquidity and user trading experience for other assets.
Did BitTorrent know about the cull?
It seems BitTorrent was aware of the chop off. Altcoin Buzz’s team has been watching the BitTorrent activities quite closely. In September, the token listed itself on 5 exchanges, including Dcoin, Atomars, Decoin, Cryptofacil, and Bitthumb Global. That said, was it trying to gain trader traction before Binance decided to delist it?

It seems Binance tried its best to interest traders in its pet project, BitTorrent,  especially with its trading competitions. The exchange announced an interesting BTT & WIN trading competition on 4th September. And the prize, a BMW worth $41,950, attracted a lot of attention.

Nothing could save BTT as it was costing Binance reputation and liquidity.

  1. Binance sucks as bad as it’s narcissistic little ruler CZ who didn’t have the balls to meet with Buffett after creating a media storm about the whole thing. Once again, he is hurting the market with his childish shenanigans. Hey CZ, you may be a millionaire but you’re no business man! What’s the reason for these delistings, brain tumor?
