Crypto.com has announced that it will be waiving off 3.5% fees from all crypto purchases made with credit and debit cards. Moreover, there will be attractive discounts on essential purchases as well.
Crypto.com further revealed, in an official blog post, that these discounts would be in place during the period of April through June. The offers aimed to provide respite to users at a time when Coronavirus has placed the entire world on a standstill.
Accessing basic needs like food, groceries, etc is proving to be a herculean task in some parts of the world. The Hong Kong-based crypto platform wants to make it easy and rewarding for users to purchase and get delivery of these essentials.
To ameliorate the effects of the epidemic, Crypto.com is thus offering a slew of rewards and benefits. They will be supporting several brands, with more additions likely in the coming months.
Crypto.com three measures to reduce the effect of Coronavirus
Speaking on the development, Crypto.com CEO, Kris Marszalek, pointed out that the Coronavirus was affecting lives and crippling the global economy. He felt it was only expedient that businesses in more fortunate situations gave something back to the populace. The Crypto.com CEO further expressed thanks to the entire community for their support during these times.
In line with this, he added, “we’re introducing three measures which we hope will make the next three months slightly easier for our users globally.”
- 3.5 percent fee waiver to be applicable for buying cryptocurrencies using credit and debit cards. All users would get this benefit across the three months.
- 10 and 5 percent discount on groceries and food delivery for Metal and Plastic MCO cardholders respectively. UberEats, Deliveroo, Foodpanda, McDonald’s, Domino’s Pizza, and Walmart are the brands initially supported. Also, it was likely to take 2-3 working days for the discount to be applied.
- 20 percent discount on food delivery and 10 percent on groceries for Crypto.com Pay users. It covers brands like Tesco, Whole Foods, Safeway, Carrefour. Sainsbury’s, Just Eat, Papa John’s, Domino’s, etc.
