Wallets may seem like a boring subject especially when markets are volatile. But you know they provide a vital function for our industry. And one of the best, formerly XDEFI, rebranded recently to Ctrl and added a ton of new features. Those new features are now available as part of their new beta access.
We will take a look at the Ctrl Wallet and the new features it’s adding to make our crypto lives easier.
Successful Beta Access Launch
First, the Beta Access launch was super successful. More than 21,000 people signed up to try out the new features. In fact, it’s so many people, that Ctrl had to set up a more exclusive Chads Community Program so it can help its more passionate users first.
🚨21,000+ users have signed up to test the Ctrl Mobile Wallet Beta and emails are going out now with the info! 📩
Spots are limited, so we’ve launched the Ctrl Chads Community Program to prioritize access for our most engaged supporters.

We are fans. The new wallet allows for common sense things like paying all gas regardless of the chain in the same currency. For many of us, that would mean using USDC or USDT instead of needing all these obscure tokens for gas just because you MIGHT do a transaction there sometime. Again, we are fans. Here is some of our recent coverage on what makes this wallet better than some other general-purpose wallets in the market. The new mobile version of the wallet looks particularly excellent.
And you can get into the Chads program and move yourself up the waiting list with this special link. That’s thanks to the Ctrl team for offering that for our community.
Here’s an idea of what the flow looks like in the new Ctrl Wallet for sending crypto.

As you can see, other people love it too. Many of these things just make sense to make a wallet simpler, easier to use, easier to get a newbie to start using, and faster.
For more on the gas feature, there is a “gas tank”. Where you fill it up when you make a deposit in your gas token of choice into your wallet. It’s a mix of chain abstraction and multi-chain utility. But all the buzzwords don’t mean anything. It means you can keep your coin of choice ready to go to pay gas regardless of where you transact. That just makes sense.
we’ve been leading chain abstraction since 2020, before it became a trend, back when only a few truly believed in a multi-chain future.

Conclusion
Ctrl was already a very good wallet. In fact, when it was XDEFI, it was known as one of the best wallets for beginners and with a great user experience. The rebrand is about not wanting to be limited by the idea of being a DeFi-only wallet. The Ctrl Wallet is more than that and now the branding reflects that.
We like what we’ve seen so far, and if you like it too, then we want you to get in and test drive it as early as possible. And you can do so with this link to try the Ctrl Wallet today.
