The world and its technology keep changing. However, it seems that education is lagging. Education is almost at the same level as when it started. EasyA is trying to change that.
They already managed to revolutionize education once. Now they’re improving this and making it available to everyone. Together with Polkadot, they will offer free education and fund developers. So, what is going on with EasyA and Polkadot?
What Is EasyA and Polkadot University?
The EasyA and Polkadot University want to make education available to everyone. Their focus is on developers. Their education programs are 100% free and focus on blockchain technology. Students who end up building on Polkadat can receive grants.
In turn, EasyA received a grant from the Web3 Foundation for this project. With this grant, they were able to launch the uni project with Polkadot.

EasyA already has experience with education programs. Since its launch, 3 years ago, the platform already educated over 1 million Web3 learners. Some of their alumni have launched companies valued at over $2.5 billion. This included funding by some top-notch VCs like a16z and Founders Fund.
Now they want to expand this. The way they want to do this is by organizing demo days, workshops, and hackathons. Their plan for the next 9 months also includes, for instance,
- To partner with universities & student clubs.
- Offer VC-backed micro-grants.
- Expand Polkadot’s presence in academia.

What Is EasyA?
EasyA has been around since 2021. The brothers Phil and Dom Kwok launched it. However, the brothers have been in crypto since 2013. They are blockchain and crypto OGs. As a result, they know what works and what doesn’t work. Hence, they came up with the education platform idea. See the picture below.

As already mentioned, they managed to set up a successful education platform. So, their strong point is their hackathons. The brothers and their team travel the world and present between one and two hackathons per month. They visit cities like London, San Francisco, Singapore, and more. These hackathons will become the cornerstones of their university.

Phil and Dom both have completed universities themselves. Phil at Cambridge University and Dom at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Their phone app has already won Apple’s highly coveted App of the Day award.
To sum up, EasyA started an online University with Polkadot. Their programs are 100% free. In the meantime, they offer graduates who build on Polkadot grants.
