Binance US has given Matic Network another reason to celebrate this month when they announced the listing. Earlier, Matic had announced the launch of their mainnet and what to expect in the coming months. The mainnet is set to commence launch on May 15 and will continue to roll out in multiple steps.
- May 15: Announcement of the DApps onboarding to the mainnet
- May 26-29: Genesis ceremony takes place
- End of May: Mainnet goes live with an initial set of validators

With the listing on Matic on Binance US, this gives more users access to the network as staking will also be a key feature in the mainnet launch. The MATIC token will continue to remain ERC-20 with a fixed percentage of the token supply reserved for staking in the first 5 years. Stakeholders can also pay gas fees on behalf of users as well as move assets from Ethereum to Matic.
Binance US has been offering staking rewards on its platform and app since February 2020. The first two coins available in this feature were Algorand (ALGO) and Cosmos (ATOM). It wouldn’t be a surprise if the exchange opens staking for MATIC as well.
Binance US
Binance US was launched in September 2019 and has over 50 different coins trading on it. They are providing their service in 37 different states and counting. Recently, they launched their OTC trading portal which allows users to trade larger amounts of cryptocurrency. Users can currently purchase cryptocurrency using their debit cards with other payment methods such as ACH and bank wire.
Binance US is also a place to learn more about cryptocurrency and trading. They have an ongoing education series that provides lots of good tips and advice for new and old traders.
Last year, Matic Network had paired with Binance to promote the testing of its new cryptocurrency wallet. In other news, in March this year, Binance US enabled trading for Tezos on its platform. Previously, we had covered Binance.US Android App becoming available on the Google Play Store.
