Ripple

Ripple and $XRP have finally found the spotlight. And they are staying for a while. If you have been following this channel, you know that the SEC lawsuit is gone. The new SEC chair is most likely going to drop this lawsuit. Or at least, there will be a favorable outcome for Ripple. Since Trump took office, there’s now a lot of talk of a Strategic Crypto Reserve. That’s instead of only a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. If that happens, $XRP is a serious contender. Furthermore, Ripple $XRP is also in the ETF spotlight.

So, there is plenty of positive news surrounding Ripple $XRP. The XRP army is having a field day. We also gave $XRP plenty of coverage recently. Check out some of our videos. But for now, let’s see what’s cooking for Ripple $XRP.

A Strategic Crypto Reserve, Including Ripple $XRP

So, the newest $XRP news includes a Strategic Crypto Reserve. We covered this yesterday already in two separate videos. You can find the links below in the description.

However, I still think that a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve makes the most sense. Yet, if there is such a Strategic Crypto Reserve, $XRP is a prime candidate. That would rather be a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve with additional crypto coins. These will be ‘Made in USA crypto‘ coins.

Once the talk started about a Strategic Crypto Reserve, there were immediately lists. CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap didn’t waste any time there. And as it happens to be, $XRP leads those lists. They are measured by market cap. That’s where $XRP has an ‘unfair’ advantage. It’s currently third in the ranking for all cryptocurrencies, measured by market cap.

On the back of this news, we saw whales accumulating over 100 million $XRP over the last couple of days. The current $XRP price is $3.19. It is up by 39.3% over the last 14 days.

Ripple $XRP ETFs

Another hot $XRP related topic is its call for an ETF. Various big players have already filed for such an ETF. These include,

  • 21Shares
  • Bitwise
  • WisdomTree
  • Canary Capital

These firms all filed for an $XRP spot ETF. VanEck and Oasis also filed now for this ETF.  In a most recent development, earlier today, Rex also filed for such a spot ETF. Besides these spot ETFs, there are also various $XRP Futures ETFs filed.

Understand that anyone can file for an ETF. It means nothing. But these are legitimate players in the ETF and institutional investment world. Polymarket currently expects a 63% approval for an $XRP ETF by 31st July.

Currently, there are almost 40 ETF applications waiting to be approved. According to J.P. Morgan, Solana, and $XRP ETFs could generate $14 billion in net inflows. $XRP alone would be good for $4 to $8 billion in net inflows. That’s massive.

Imagine what that would potentially do for the $XRP price. We can expect quite an increase. What do you think the max price for $XRP will be during this bull run?

Ripple already seems to be in celebratory mode. All around Washington DC there were Ripple billboards. Furthermore, since inauguration day, institutions deposited $31 million into $XRP.

Ripple As a Global Settlement Network

Ripple itself donated more than anyone else in the crypto sector to Trump. Ripple’s goal is to have clear regulations. That’s essentially what it has been asking for over the years. Ripple also has an ultimate goal. That’s to become the global settlement network. This involves trillions of dollars from traditional finance.

Currently, Ripple has a close working relationship with Bank of America. It seems that BoA already uses Ripple for internal transactions. In a Patent application, BoA mentions Ripple five times. Big things are coming Ripple’s way.

The SEC vs Ripple Lawsuit

Former SEC chair Gensler was on a crusade against crypto projects and firms. Trump now appointed pro-Bitcoin Mark Uyeda as acting chair. This means that Paul Atkins is waiting for the Senate to confirm his appointment as SEC chair.

It is very likely that the Ripple case will come to a complete end in this saga. Uyeda has called a closed meeting for tomorrow. Topics on the agenda are,

  • Institution and settlement of injunctive actions.
  • Institution and settlement of administrative proceedings.
  • Resolution of litigation claims
  • Other matters relating to examinations and enforcement proceedings.
Ripple $RLUSD and CBDCs

Another trump (pun intended) up Ripple’s sleeve is its brand-new Ripple $RLUSD stablecoin. Since 31st December, Europe banned $USDT for noncompliance. That’s a great opportunity for $RLUSD to get a foot into the European door. Also, in the rest of the world, this is a hot iron in Ripple’s fire.

Last but not least, Ripple is also active in the CBDC space. Although the new president, Trump, is not a big fan of CBDCs, it should do well for Ripple. Here at Altcoin Buzz, we’re not big fans of CBDCs. However, the reality is that many countries are testing them. Ripple plays a major role in their development.
