Bittrex has been going through some major changes of late, recently announcing that they have re-opened account registration. This comes about 4 months after they paused registration due the huge number of new account sign-ups on December 17th, 2017. During that time, Bittrex was experiencing such high volumes of new user registration and trades that they choose to close registrations to prevent a security breach.

Bittrex also announced further changes to their platform such as increased security measures, performance updates, as well as an expanded team. This new team includes talent from Amazon, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice.
Note: Those making new accounts are still required to adhere to the identity verification standards of Bittrex.
