Finally, an Altcoin Rally Coming?

Even when Bitcoin performed exceptionally well, high caps were barely moving.

However, that has changed. We are seeing a strong argument for an altcoin rally. How? Let’s figure it out.

Altcoin Rally vs. Dead Cat Bounce: Key Differences Explained

First of all, how can we differentiate alt rallies from dead cat bounces? A dead cat bounce happens when a coin pumps after a period of bearish consolidation. The dead cat bounce is a bull trap, and the coin dumps after the bounce. The altcoin rally happens when major alts pump aggressively, cool down, and pump again. Usually, it happens after the Bitcoin ATH and a short period of bearishness.

This is exactly what happened in October. Bitcoin registered an ATH, and in October, the whole market suffered. In such situations, the sentiment turns extremely bearish (Extreme Fear), even when the price is good. The sentiment has been mostly bullish from May 2025 to October 2025. The sentiment reset happened on 4th October, and ever since the sentiment has been bearish (FEAR).

Notably, Bitcoin is still above $100k, just 25% down from its ATH. So, the price is of little consequence here.

So, this phase of the price action follows the characteristics of the alt rally, not a dead cat bounce. The first proof? ZEC rally. ZEC has pumped more than 1200% since September 2025.

ZEC is NOT a memecoin. It does NOT belong to any dominant narrative. But it pumped 13x in just 3 months, and still going on.

This is what happened with FET in January 2024.

This is what happened with LTC in 2021.

Alt Rally Gaining Strength as ZEC Leads November Surge

So, we can expect other alts to continue pumping in November and December.

The focus is on large caps. We can not expect the institutional money to rotate from Bitcoin to ETH, and then to major alts. The traditional crypto whales are in control of the alt market. We have seen it with the $PYR pump of 160% in a day.

Please note that the $PYR pump does not mean a shifting focus to GameFi. GameFi is a dead narrative in 2025. The $PYR pump also does not imply interest in small caps. These are the narratives to trap the retail. Our strategy is to continue holding solid projects. These projects will have their own ZEC time in a few weeks.

ZEC is proof that 13x in a large cap is easy even in Q4, 2025. Nobody expected ZEC to move, as it did not pump in 2024 or 2025. Similarly, many alts have no team or VC vesting in the near future. Or better, coins with vesting completed. Whales are likely to target such coins next. Also, Bitcoin dominance has temporarily deviated from the uptrend. For strong alt rallies, Bitcoin dominance should be less than 57%.

So, what is the take?

• We believe an alt rally is a real possibility now.
• ZEC is the first mover for the Q4 alt rally.
• The first narrative, which picks up momentum next, will be the most dominant in this alt rally. We do not know what it is. But the good thing is that to play narratives, we just have to respond to the market signals, not prepare in advance.
• Do not get into old coins expecting ZEC-like miracles. EOS, Tezos, Cardano, Polkadot, Cosmos, etc., are NOT the next ZEC.
