What we collect, why, and what we never do with it. The short version: we collect almost nothing, and we don't sell your data.

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Altcoin Buzz Pte Ltd (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you use the AltcoinBuzzwebsite and newsletter (the “Site”). We run a publication, not a data business — we collect as little as we need to deliver our content, and we don’t sell your personal data.

Information We Collect

We collect only a small amount of information:

  • Newsletter email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter, we store the email address you provide.
  • Usage data — like most websites, our infrastructure keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability.
  • Preferences stored on your device— your theme choice (light/dark) is kept in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.

We do not require accounts, and reading AltcoinBuzz does not involve giving us your name, wallet address, or financial information.

How We Use Your Information

  • to send you the newsletter you subscribed to;
  • to operate, secure, and improve the Site;
  • to understand, in aggregate, which content resonates;
  • to comply with legal obligations.

Cookies & Local Storage

The Site itself is deliberately light on tracking: we don’t set advertising cookies, and your theme preference lives in local storage on your device. Third-party content you choose to interact with (see the next section) may set its own cookies under its own policies.

Embedded Content & Third Parties

Articles embed content from third parties, built to share as little of your data as possible:

  • YouTube videosload as a static thumbnail first — YouTube receives no request from your browser until you press play, and playback uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced (no-cookie) player.
  • Posts from X (Twitter) are rendered on our servers — your browser never talks to X to display them.
  • Market data (prices, charts) is fetched by our servers from data providers, not by your browser.

Links that take you to external sites are governed by those sites’ own privacy policies.

When We Share Data

We share personal data only with the service providers that run our infrastructure (hosting, database, email delivery) — bound to process it solely on our behalf — and where required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

Data Retention

We keep your newsletter email address until you unsubscribe, after which it is removed from our active mailing list. Server logs are retained briefly for security and operations and then rotated out.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (including under Singapore’s PDPA and the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data. Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link; for anything else, reach us via the contact pageand we’ll respond as required by applicable law.

Children

The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced on the Site.
