What is the total crypto market cap?
The combined value of every cryptocurrency CoinGecko tracks: for each coin, its price times the number of coins in circulation, added up. As of 12:23 UTC it is $2.81T, down 0.3% in 24 hours.
Market cap measures size, not price. A coin at $0.10 can be worth more in total than one at $1,000 if far more of it exists, which is why the table ranks by market cap.
What is Bitcoin dominance?
Bitcoin’s share of the total crypto market cap. As of 12:23 UTC it is 59.6%, with Ethereum at 10.7%.
It shows where money sits in the market. Rising dominance means Bitcoin is outgrowing the rest of the market, or holding up better in a fall; falling dominance means other coins are gaining ground. The tick meter above splits it into Bitcoin, Ethereum and everything else.
How are the top 100 cryptocurrencies ranked?
By market cap, largest first. Stablecoins such as USDT and USDC count too: they rank high because so many are in circulation, even though their price stays near $1.

Where do these prices come from?
From CoinGecko, which aggregates trading across hundreds of exchanges, refreshed every 15 minutes while the page is open. The 24-hour volume shown is the top 100’s own total, because CoinGecko’s market-wide volume figure is at times inflated.
