How we report, what we publish, who pays for it, and the lines sponsors and advertisers can't cross.

What We Publish

  • News — what happened, who said it and why it matters, reported from the sources below.
  • Research — long-form explainers and deep dives into projects, ecosystems and narratives.
  • Technical analysis — chart-based market analysis. Each piece carries its call (bullish, bearish or neutral) so it can never be mistaken for news.
  • Opinion — signed commentary that reflects its author’s view, not the publication’s.
  • Market data — prices, market caps and indicators, covered under Market Data below.

How We Report

We work from primary sources wherever they exist: official announcements, filings and court documents, project documentation, on-chain data and named spokespeople. Claims are attributed to their source, with a link when the source is public.

When something can’t be verified, we say so plainly — or we don’t run it. Headlines must reflect the story beneath them: education over hype, in a market where plenty of media prefers the hype.

Market Data

Prices, market capitalisations and volumes come from CoinGecko; the Crypto Fear & Greed Index comes from alternative.me. Figures refresh about every 15 minutes and every data page shows when it was last updated. They are for context, not real-time trading.

Education, Not Advice

Everything we publish is education, analysis and opinion — never financial advice. Every author writes from their own risk tolerance, which may not be yours. Crypto assets are high-risk and volatile; do your own research.

Independence & Conflicts of Interest

Editorial decisions are made by our team, not by sponsors, advertisers or the projects we cover. Sponsorship never buys favourable coverage, and we don’t accept payment for news or analysis.

Our writers may hold cryptocurrencies. They are expected to disclose a holding in any asset they write about, and never to trade on a story before it is published.

Ownership & Funding

Altcoin Buzz is owned and operated by Altcoin Buzz Pte Ltd. We are funded by advertising, clearly labelled sponsored content, video and newsletter sponsorships, and affiliate partnerships — see Advertise with us. We are a publication, not an exchange, broker, fund or investment adviser.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. Our corrections policy explains how to report an error and what happens next.
