Ondo Finance & LayerZero Launch Ethereum-Solana Bridge

Ondo Finance just took a major leap toward seamless interoperability in crypto—especially for Real World Assets (RWAs).

Ondo Finance & LayerZero Launch Ethereum-Solana Bridge

The company announced the launch of the industry’s first institutional-grade bridge. This bridge connects Solana directly to major EVM chains, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Mantle.

This bridge from Ondo Finance is backed by LayerZero’s infrastructure and powered by Ondo’s Decentralized Verifier Network (DVN). The bridge offers unmatched security and flexibility for USDY holders looking to move assets between ecosystems.

USDY Goes Omnichain: No More Silos

Until now, Solana’s booming DeFi ecosystem— with over $170 million in Total Value Locked (TVL) in USDY—was largely isolated. Ondo’s new bridge changes this, enabling seamless cross-chain access. By making USDY fully mobile across Solana and leading EVM chains, users can now deploy capital wherever the best yield or opportunity appears. This is possible without the friction or risks of traditional bridges.

USDY, Ondo’s yield-bearing stablecoin backed by short-term U.S. Treasuries, has quickly gained traction. With over 15 integrations and thousands of users already on Solana, the demand for cross-chain access was growing fast. The bridge now enables instant, 1:1 transfers via a burn-and-mint mechanism. This eliminates the need for liquidity pools or overcollateralized reserves. That means no slippage, no third-party counterparty risks, and no idle capital sitting on the sidelines.

This upgrade comes as RWAs, like tokenized bonds and real estate, are gaining steam. According to Galaxy Digital, the tokenized RWA market could grow to $16 trillion by 2030. Ondo’s bridge gives USDY a head start. It positions USDY as a serious contender alongside stablecoins in use cases like lending, trading, and settlement.

Ondo’s new bridge isn’t just about moving assets. It’s about reshaping how and where capital flows in crypto. By meeting institutional-grade security standards, Ondo is solving long-standing challenges in cross-chain liquidity. This is helping unlock the full potential of RWAs in a truly interoperable world.

More About Ondo Finance

The tokenized treasuries market is rapidly expanding, and Ondo Finance is leading the charge with two innovative products. USDY has become the most widely held yieldcoin, offering users a secure and flexible way to earn yield.

Meanwhile, OUSG provides market-leading instant liquidity, enabling users to access US treasuries yield seamlessly. Together, these products unlock global, 24/7 access to US treasuries yield. This makes it easier for both institutional and individual investors to tap into this lucrative asset class with enhanced efficiency and security.
