xPortal Launches Sui Mastercard Card with Wallet Features

xPortal, a crypto super app, has launched the first-ever Sui-branded Mastercard debit card. The card offers users a new and easy way to spend their crypto for their daily needs directly from their wallets.

As per the official announcement, the new card is available in the European Economic Area (EEA). Plans for a U.S. launch are expected in the near future. However, many see the new card as a massive expansion for the Sui ecosystem.

It would support buying, staking, swapping, and easily spending $SUI tokens via the xPortal app. The card, powered by xMoney, a fintech platform, can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted. This includes Apple Pay and Google Pay, providing an extra layer of convenience for users.

What are the Features of the New Card?

The new card makes it possible for SUI holders to use crypto in their daily lives. Interestingly, the xPortal app now supports a full range of Sui blockchain features. Users can explore Sui dApps, collect and display NFTs, and personalize their app with a Sui-themed design. According to xPortal, users can get started in less than 10 seconds and make purchases up to €200 without needing to complete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification.

Reacting to the launch, Christian Thompson, Managing Director of the Sui Foundation, said, “This powerful new product is a significant step towards making the Sui ecosystem more accessible to everyday consumers, enabled by the seamless user experience and retail adoption of xPortal.”

Thompson added that “the innovations of xPortal and xMoney showcase what’s possible when intuitive interfaces blend with strong infrastructure, while xMoney’s extensive licensing work makes it all possible in a compliant and secure way.”

xPortal and xMoney CEOs Share Vision Behind Sui Partnership

Executives from both xMoney and xPortal have emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership with Sui.

Greg Siourounis, CEO of xMoney, said the goal is to bridge the gap between traditional banking and the decentralized economy. He explained that working with Sui enables the platform to offer users a secure, regulated environment while maintaining the ease and convenience of modern banking apps.

“The focus is on combining strong infrastructure, regulatory compliance, and a smooth user experience,” Siourounis said. “That’s what will drive real adoption.”

Sergiu Biris, CEO of xPortal, highlighted Sui’s fast performance, ease of use, and growing community as key reasons for the integration. He noted that the decision to support Sui fits well with xPortal’s broader mission of making crypto accessible to everyone.

Biris described the new features as a way to give users access to Sui’s real-world utility through a single app. “We’re not just adding another blockchain,” he said. “We’re making it part of an all-in-one experience that’s designed for anyone, not just advanced users.”

This launch comes at a time when Sui is expanding its ecosystem. The blockchain has seen growth in DeFi, NFTs, and other Web3 applications. xPortal’s new features are expected to help more users join the Sui network and make crypto more accessible.
