XRP ETFs Add $11.31 Million as XRP Falls 7.3% to $1.40

US spot XRP ETFs drew $11.31 million in the week ended Oct. 9 while XRP fell 7.3% to about $1.40. Bitwise supplied $10.55 million of the weekly total.

US spot XRP ETFs took $11.31 million in net inflows in the week ended Friday, October 9, 2026, while XRP fell from about $1.52 to about $1.40 across the same five sessions. The close-to-close decline was 7.3%, and XRP touched a $1.32 low on October 8.

Flows and price moved in opposite directions, but the flow number was not broad. Nearly all of it arrived through one issuer.

Two Sessions Carried the Week

The weekly total splits into $3.14 million on Tuesday and $8.17 million on Thursday, with no net flow on the other three sessions. The week before had drawn $4.74 million, so the October 5 to 9 total was more than double.

XRP Insights, which tracks the six US spot XRP funds plus the Bitwise 10 Crypto Index ETF (BITW), puts the same week at net inflows of 7.90 million XRP, about $11.11 million, and records activity on every session. The tracker measures flow as the daily change in each fund's reported XRP holdings, so its figures are counted in XRP rather than estimated from dollars, and its fund list differs from the shorter issuer lists used elsewhere.

The length of the streak is not settled. Reports dated October 6 and 7 describe 12 consecutive weeks of inflows; reports dated October 9 to 12 describe 13. Which count is correct was not established.

Bitwise Supplied Nearly the Whole Week

Bitwise's XRP fund supplied $10.55 million of the weekly total. Excluding Bitwise, every other XRP fund combined added about $760,000 net.

The window for that $10.55 million is disputed. One account assigns it to the week and credits Franklin Templeton's XRPZ with $4.10 million of inflows alongside a $3.34 million outflow at Canary Capital's XRPC. SoSoValue-based accounts place the same $10.55 million in a single session, October 6, and show XRPZ at -$4.07 million that day, with all other issuers combined at about -$3.34 million.

A $10.55 million week and a $10.55 million day imply different things about demand, and the table that would settle it could not be read: SoSoValue's XRP flows page sits behind a bot check.

Net Assets Fell While Cumulative Inflows Rose

XRP ETF net assets ended the week at $1.57 billion, down from $1.66 billion a week earlier, even as cumulative inflows since launch rose to $1.80 billion. The roughly $230 million gap between the two is a rough mark-to-market read: the money went in, and the holdings are worth less than what was paid for them.

A reading taken a few days earlier put cumulative inflows at $1.794 billion against $1.697 billion in net asset value, a gap of about $97 million. The difference between the two readings has not been reconciled.

What the Funds Hold

As of the October 12 close, XRP Insights reports the six US spot XRP ETFs holding 1.17 billion XRP with $1.61 billion in net assets. Including BITW's XRP, the total is 1.19 billion XRP, about 1.19% of the fixed 100 billion supply. Bitwise's fund is the largest, at $571.6 million in assets and 420.0 million XRP held, ahead of Franklin Templeton's XRPZ at 299.1 million XRP and Canary's XRPC at 245.4 million.

Bitwise's own fund page lists 419,962,305.67 XRP in the trust with a market value of $571,661,089.73. NAV and market price were both $15.46, at 11.166241 XRP per share. Since inception the fund's NAV return is -33.40%; over one month it is 7.38%, and year to date -18.18%.

The Price Move and the Levels That Frame It

The week's decline included a single violent hour. At about 02:00 UTC on October 7, bitcoin fell under $84,000 in roughly 20 minutes and XRP dropped from $1.52 to $1.46, a slide of about 4.5%. On-chain trackers counted $412 million in crypto liquidations during that stretch, almost all of them long positions. The $1.32 low came the next day.

On a chart, $1.46 is the level to clear. A break above it opens $1.50. The downside reference is $1.32 support, which sets a likely near-term range of $1.32 to $1.50.

XRP Was the Only Group to Finish Positive

Bitcoin funds shed $681.1 million over the same week. Ethereum products lost $542.07 million, nearly four times the prior week's $138.02 million, with withdrawals in all five sessions. Solana funds lost $24.81 million, ending a 14-week positive streak. Combined, the three groups bled $1.248 billion, and XRP's $11.31 million offset less than 1% of it.

A Second Listed Route for XRP Exposure

Evernorth began trading on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN on October 12, 2026. Shares finished the regular session at $16.91, down 18 cents, or 1.05%, and stood at $17.37 after hours. The company said that at closing it held approximately 473 million XRP and had raised approximately $300 million in gross cash proceeds before transaction expenses. It expects to ring the Nasdaq closing bell on October 14.

What the listing does to spot XRP demand or price is not established.

Breadth Is the Signal to Watch

Strip out Bitwise and the rest of the XRP ETF market added $760,000 last week. That is the qualification sitting under the headline inflow total, and it is the thing next week's print can change: a week in which several issuers add is a different reading from this one. On the price side, $1.46 above and $1.32 below are the two levels doing the framing.
