Japan’s Remixpoint Sells All Altcoins to Go Bitcoin Only

Japan listed Remixpoint sold all of its ETH, SOL, XRP and DOGE holdings for ¥878.8 million, realizing a ¥117.8 million gain and shifting its crypto treasury entirely to Bitcoin.

Japan listed Remixpoint has sold its entire Ethereum, Solana, XRP and Dogecoin holdings, turning its cryptocurrency treasury into a Bitcoin-only portfolio.

The company sold the four altcoins on September 1 for ¥878.8 million ($5.5 million), generating a combined realized gain of approximately ¥117.8 million ($737,000), according to its latest disclosure.

The move marks a significant change in Remixpoint’s digital asset strategy. Rather than maintaining exposure to several major cryptocurrencies, the company now holds only Bitcoin and says the decision will help clarify its investment strategy and improve capital efficiency.

Remixpoint Exits ETH, SOL, XRP and DOGE

Remixpoint sold all four of its remaining altcoin positions in a single move.

The company disposed of approximately 901.45 ETH, 13,920 SOL, 1.19 million XRP and 2.8 million DOGE. Together, the holdings generated ¥878.8 million in proceeds.

Ethereum delivered the largest realized gain at approximately ¥60.2 million ($377,000). Remixpoint sold its ETH for about ¥353.4 million, above its book value.

Solana generated another ¥49.3 million ($308,000) gain, while the company realized approximately ¥11.5 million ($72,000) from its XRP position.

Dogecoin was the only asset sold at a loss. Remixpoint recorded a loss of roughly ¥3.3 million ($21,000) on the DOGE position.

The company said it decided to sell the altcoins after considering market conditions, the risk return characteristics of each asset and its overall financial strategy. The resulting gain is expected to be recognized as business segment revenue during the second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027.

Bitcoin Is Now Remixpoint’s Only Crypto Asset

Following the sales, Remixpoint's cryptocurrency portfolio consists entirely of approximately 1,506 BTC.

At current Bitcoin prices, that represents roughly $115 million in Bitcoin exposure. This makes Bitcoin the central asset in the company's digital asset strategy rather than one component of a diversified crypto portfolio.

The decision is part of a broader Bitcoin accumulation strategy that Remixpoint has been developing over time.

The company has continued increasing its Bitcoin holdings while also looking for ways to generate additional returns from those assets. It reported that its Bitcoin lending activities generated 14.92 BTC in fees between February 24 and August 31, valued at approximately ¥164.2 million ($1 million) using the applicable month-end exchange rates.

That means Remixpoint is not simply holding Bitcoin on its balance sheet. The company is also using part of its BTC position to generate additional income through lending.

Remixpoint Is Choosing Concentration Over Diversification

The shift to Bitcoin-only is significant because Remixpoint previously maintained exposure to several of the largest cryptocurrencies.

Holding ETH, SOL, XRP and DOGE gave the company exposure to different parts of the crypto market, from smart-contract platforms to payments-focused networks and meme coin activity.

The latest decision reverses that approach.

Remixpoint said concentrating its cryptocurrency holdings around Bitcoin would clarify its investment strategy and improve capital efficiency. Instead of allocating capital across multiple assets with different risk and return profiles, the company is now using Bitcoin as its sole cryptocurrency exposure.

This strategy also comes as publicly listed companies continue to use Bitcoin as a corporate treasury asset.

Strategy recently bought another 4,603 BTC for $369.7 million, taking its holdings to 845,050 BTC. That purchase was Strategy’s first Bitcoin acquisition since June and showed how aggressively some public companies continue to build BTC exposure.

The Remixpoint strategy is different in scale, but the underlying direction is similar: concentrating corporate crypto exposure around Bitcoin rather than maintaining a broad basket of digital assets.

Altcoin Sale Could Free Capital for Other Businesses

Remixpoint does not plan to simply leave all of the ¥878.8 million from the altcoin sales unused.

The company said it is considering using the proceeds to expand assets in growth areas such as grid scale battery storage, strengthen its financial position and pursue other measures designed to increase corporate and shareholder value.

This makes the sale more than a simple cryptocurrency portfolio adjustment.

Remixpoint is effectively reallocating capital from four cryptocurrencies into a combination of Bitcoin and its broader corporate strategy.

The company will continue to maintain its Bitcoin position while potentially directing part of the cash generated from the altcoin disposal toward business investments.

Why the Bitcoin Only Strategy Matters

Remixpoint's decision highlights an increasingly important question for companies holding cryptocurrencies on their balance sheets: should corporate crypto exposure be diversified across multiple assets or concentrated around Bitcoin?

Remixpoint has chosen the second approach.

The company has realized gains on three of the four altcoins it sold, meaning the decision was not driven by losses across its entire altcoin portfolio. ETH and SOL in particular generated substantial profits.

Instead, Remixpoint said the decision was based on market conditions, risk-return characteristics and its financial strategy.

The company can therefore lock in the gains from its altcoin positions while simplifying its cryptocurrency portfolio around Bitcoin.

For Remixpoint, the strategy also provides a clearer framework for its digital asset operations. Its Bitcoin holdings can be held, lent to generate income and potentially increased in the future, while capital released from the altcoin sales can be directed toward other corporate priorities.

Remixpoint’s Next Move Could Be More Important Than the Sale

The immediate impact of the transaction is clear: ETH, SOL, XRP and DOGE are no longer part of Remixpoint's crypto portfolio, while Bitcoin remains its sole cryptocurrency holding.

The bigger question is what the company does next.

Remixpoint now has approximately 1,506 BTC alongside the proceeds generated from selling its altcoins. It is also generating Bitcoin lending income and considering additional investment in grid-scale battery storage and other growth initiatives.

That creates a more focused corporate strategy around Bitcoin while giving the company flexibility to deploy capital outside crypto.

The altcoin sale itself generated a profit, but Remixpoint's longer-term Bitcoin strategy will ultimately depend on how effectively it manages its BTC holdings, lending activities and the capital released from the sale.

For now, the message from Japan's listed crypto focused companies is clear: Remixpoint is betting on Bitcoin as its single cryptocurrency reserve asset while moving the rest of its digital asset capital elsewhere.
