Bitcoin ETFs Add $175.7M as XRP ETF Flows Stay Flat a Third Day

US spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $175.7 million on Tuesday 13 October, led by Fidelity's FBTC at $103.1 million, BlackRock's IBIT at $65.9 million and Morgan Stanley's MSBT at $6.7 million, per Farside's flow table.

A day earlier, the same funds lost $65.4 million, all of it out of IBIT.

On the XRP side, nothing happened at all. CoinGlass's XRP ETF page shows zero net flow across the funds it tracks on 9, 12 and 13 October, three flat sessions in a row.

That contrast is being read as rotation: money leaving XRP funds and arriving in Bitcoin. The flow tables don't carry it.

2 October Still Holds October's Biggest Inflow

Farside puts 2 October at $189.9 million, above the $175.7 million that landed on 13 October. So the 13th was the month's second-biggest inflow day, not its biggest.

Session

Net flow

1 October

2 October

+$189.9 million

5 October

6 October

7 October

8 October

-$244.1 million

9 October

+$21.1 million

12 October

-$65.4 million

13 October

+$175.7 million

The month has swung hard in both directions. The $484.9 million that left on 7 October is still the largest single-day move in Farside's October rows, followed by $244.1 million out on 8 October. Farside had no figures entered for 14 October yet, with dashes in the fund columns and a zero total.

Since launch, the funds have taken in $57,288 million net, according to the same running total.

XRP Fund Flows Have Been Flat Since 9 October

The last real XRP move on CoinGlass's page came on 8 October, when Franklin Templeton's XRPZ took in $5.75 million and every other fund read zero. Before that, the funds added $2.08 million combined on 6 October and lost $2.20 million on 2 October.

As of 13 October, the page lists four spot funds: Canary's XRPC with $316.73 million in assets, Bitwise's XRP fund with $310.99 million, Franklin's XRPZ with $213.09 million and Grayscale's GXRP with $64.68 million.

One caveat is worth holding onto. The zero reading is not unanimous: a separate XRP ETF tracker shows small positive flows on 12 and 13 October. Treat the flat sessions as the published figure, not a settled one.

Rotation Needs Outflows, and XRP Showed None

For capital to rotate, it has to leave one asset and arrive in another. XRP funds recorded no redemptions on 13 October, so the $175.7 million that entered Bitcoin funds that day could not have come out of them.

October has been a month of splitting altcoin flows, and Bitcoin's own rows have gone from $189.9 million in on 2 October to $484.9 million out on 7 October, so one session rarely settles much. What would change the picture is easy to name: a negative XRP flow, or Bitcoin inflows that keep coming after the flat streak breaks.

Until one of those shows up, 13 October looks like one strong day in a choppy month.
