PancakeSwap Unveils CAKE.PAD for Early Token Access

This new platform builds on PancakeSwap’s previous “Initial Farm Offering” (IFO) model but makes the process simpler, more open, and more rewarding for CAKE holders.

It’s a key part of the exchange’s CAKE Tokenomics 3.0 strategy, designed to grow CAKE’s utility and reduce its total supply through regular token burns.

From IFOs to CAKE.PAD

Before CAKE.PAD, PancakeSwap’s IFOs required users to stake CAKE tokens and navigate a series of steps to join early token sales. While popular, this format made participation complex and limited the number of users who could join. Following strong engagement during recent token generation events with Binance Wallet, PancakeSwap has decided to build a more streamlined system that welcomes both new and experienced users.

CAKE.PAD removes the need for staking or lock-ups. Anyone with CAKE in a non-custodial wallet can now join an early token event by simply committing their CAKE. Once the event ends, participants receive the new project’s tokens directly. This open model helps bring in more users, lowers barriers to entry, and deepens the link between CAKE usage, token burns, and PancakeSwap’s overall growth.

In a broader context, the trend of “early access platforms” has been heating up across the crypto space. Binance Launchpad and CoinList, for example, have helped projects raise billions in total through community token launches. CAKE.PAD positions PancakeSwap to compete in this growing market while keeping everything on-chain, transparent, and community-driven.
