3 Reasons Why Ripple $XRP Is About to Explode

Ripple and $XRP continue to stay in the spotlight. June 17 is an important date we need to watch out. Why? I will explain. Also, we are seeing a major influx of money into Ripple. Some major whales are about to buy $XRP. 3 Furthermore, the Ripple blockchain also sees more adoption.

So, let’s take a closer look at these three reasons why Ripple’s $XRP is about to explode.

The $XRP ETF Approval Is Closing In

Various $XRP ETF applications have already been filed. $XRP currently has the highest number of ETF filings. So, these include, among others, filings by,

• Bitwise 
• 21Shares
• Canary Capital
• Grayscale
• Franklin Templeton
• ProShares
• WisdomTree
• CoinShares
• Volatility Shares
• Hashdex
• MEMX
• Teucrium

These include standalone funds and those where $XRP will be part of a basket of different holdings. 

There are some big names among this list. Now, the next SEC decision for an $XRP ETF is on 17th of June. This is for the Franklin Templeton ETF filing. On this date, the SEC will have three options. It can either approve the filing, disapprove, or start proceedings to evaluate further.

Now, in all likelihood, it’s expected that the SEC will want to evaluate further. That’s also what happened with the $BTC and $ETH ETF filings. However, there have been some changes within the SEC. Instead of making life hard for crypto projects, the SEC is singing a different tune now. With Paul Atkins as the new chair, there’s a possibility that the SEC may approve this $XRP ETF filing next week.

Franklin Templeton

To put this in perspective, Templeton is one of the bigger players. It has over $1.5 trillion in assets under management. Templeton is also one of the firms that launched a $BTC ETF. Templeton made the filing through the CBOE BZX Exchange. This is the same exchange that handled most major Spot ETF approvals, like $BTC and $ETH.

On the other hand, if the SEC asks for more time to evaluate, the latest deadlines are on 18th and 19th October. That’s part of the 240-day review period. These are for the Grayscale and 21Shares filings. In other words, it’s very likely that we will see an $XRP spot ETF during 2025.

Nasdaq Filing

Another thing to take into consideration is the Nasdaq. It filed the 8-K form. This expands their crypto benchmark index from 5 to 9 assets. The 4 new assets include $XRP, $ADA, $SOL, and $XLM. The deadline for this is 2nd November.

BlackRock

In a recent development, Larry Fink, is apparently in talks with Atkins. Fink is BlackRock’s CEO, the biggest investment firm worldwide. It seems that BlackRock also wants to file an $XRP spot ETF.

So, these are all positive developments. An $XRP spot ETF approval could also work positively on the $XRP price. The chances of such an $XRP spot ETF are currently 86% according to Polymarket. See the picture below.

Major Influx of Money Into Ripple

There’s a recent inflow of money inflows to Ripple. 

Webus

One of the involved parties is the Chinese based Webus firm. This is an AI-driven mobility solution. For instance, Webus specializes in worldwide premium and customizable chauffeur services. The company is also listed on the Nasdaq (WETO). It wants to set up an $XRP strategic reserve. Like what Michael Saylor is doing with Bitcoin.

This $XRP strategic reserve is to the tune of $300 million. So, that’s a serious investment. Samara Alpha Management is helping with this deal. This is a top-tier SEC-registered investment adviser. Webus also plans to install this strategy in phases. The actual investment still needs to start.

Hyperscale Data

Another company, Hyperscale Data, plans to buy $10 million worth of $XRP. Hyperscale Data provides data center solutions. Their primary focus is on supporting the AI industry. It operates, among other places, in the US, Europe, and the Middle East. 

It plans to launch an $XRP lending platform for U.S. public companies. This should take place in Q3, 2025. For this, they go through their subsidiary Ault Capital Group. Only public companies listed on the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) can use the platform. So, these are also two very bullish events for $XRP.

More Ripple Blockchain Adoption

Ripple has already some strong partnerships going on for its XRPL. That’s its blockchain, the XRP Ledger. These partnerships prove that Ripple and its $XRP token are more than a speculative digital asset. It’s actually a currency that works with real world use cases. 

Let’s take a look at this. I will first take a look at some older, established partnerships.

Cambridge Global Payments. This partnership goes back to 2018. CGP streamlines cross-border transactions. It does this within 3 to 5 seconds. Compared to more traditional methods, CGP offers a reduced rate by as much as 33%. 

Tranglo. This is a leading cross-border payments specialist in Asia. Ripple acquired a 40% stake in Tranglo in 2021. Since that year, SME transactions surged by 1,729%. SMEs are small and medium-sized enterprises. Currently, Tranglo covers 70+countries. 

MoneyGram. This is a strategic partnership dating back to 2019. It’s used for fast and low-cost forex settlements. 

VARA in the UAE

Now, these are all services that offer on-chain global payments systems. The same as I mentioned at the beginning of this video. We can now also add the VARA to this list. VARA is the Dubai Financial Services Authority. This means that you can use $XRP now for global money transfers through Dubai. As a result, $XRP is the only crypto licensed by UAE’s VARA. 

Ripple stablecoin, $RLUSD is now also approved by the VARA as a recognized crypto token! Furthermore, UAE banks will now integrate $XRP and the XRPL into their banking system. 

And finally, in the blockchain adoption area, XRP is creating its own EVM sidechain to link to the XRPL. EVM is the home for DeFi, so this is a smart move from the team.

So, as you can see, Ripple keeps growing. If it wants to achieve a $1 trillion market cap, it also needs these partnerships and investments. Its current market cap is $135 billion. So, do you think that $XRP can do a 7x from here? Let me know in the comments.
