4 Altcoins Ready To Pump in May 2025

Do you remember the old adage, “Sell in May and go away.” Well, it’s quite possible that this May might be different. If we look at Bitcoin’s history over the last 15 years, May actually did pretty well. Nine times May was green and only six times it saw red. That’s 67% in the green. Not too bad at all.

Plus, we have a bull run about to kick off as well. According to Plan B, the next six to seven months can be life changing. This puts a different view on May and altcoins. So, what altcoins can pump in May?

Cardano ($ADA)

The first of today’s altcoins I expect to pump in May is Cardano ($ADA). One of its main new features is Midnight. It brings privacy to Cardano.  It balances confidentiality with compliance. Charles Hoskinson is very positive about Midnight. According to him, it can bring tens of millions of new users to Cardano. 

Now, Hoskinson is known to be a bit of a drama queen, but if this is even partially true, it’s massive for Cardano. This could catapult the $ADA price well above its current $3 ATH.

Let’s move on to a Cardano ETF. According to Polymarket, there’s currently a 70% chance for this to happen in 2025. A week ago, this was around 60%.

In February this year, Grayscale filed for a Cardano ETF. It also recently filed for a Digital Large Cap Fund ETF. This also includes Cardano ($ADA). So, things are moving along on this front.

Furthermore, Hoskinson revealed a few days ago that you can use Bitcoin in your Lace Wallet. This brings Cardano one step closer to Bitcoin. At the current $ADA price of 70 cents, this may be a great entry!

Ondo Finance ($ONDO)

Ondo Finance ($ONDO) is currently the RWA market leader. As you can see on this chart, Link and Stellar are infrastructure providers. On the other hand, Ondo Finance is the real deal for RWA projects. Have you checked out our dedicated video about Ondo Finance from earlier this week?

So, Ondo’s biggest recent news is that they sat down with the SEC Crypto Task Force. This was all about regulating tokenization. With Paul Atkins being the new SEC chair, Ondo has someone on their side who looks favorably towards RWA and crypto in general.

Ondo is gearing up for a “wicked hot summer of legislation for crypto.” That’s what their Vice Chairman, Patrick McHenry, said.

At the forefront of their products are two yield bearing stablecoins. Both $USDY and $OUSG are yield coins. These coins represent a new class of tokenized assets. They deliver steady, onchain yield. With its two coins, Ondo offers institutions a great opportunity. They can access institutional-grade yield. However, that’s without the friction of traditional finance.

The current $ONDO price is around 93 cents. This looks like another great entry point. Earlier this week, it was over $1.

Sui Network ($SUI)

The Sui Network, its $SUI token and its ecosystem are currently on fire. $SUI is up 70% over the last 14 days. Some of its ecosystem tokens are even up more during those two weeks. Check our recent video on 3 Sui ecosystem tokens.

On 1st May, the Sui Basecamp starts in Dubai. During this event, there will be lots of hot news coming out of the Sui camp. That’s why I expect the $SUI price to keep going up in the near future. Besides the fact that we’re at the beginning of what looks like the final leg of this bull run.

Kostas Chalkias, the resident mad scientist at Sui, revealed another new feature. You can now send crypto without internet. A shaky telecom signal is all you need. During Sui Basecamp, he’s about to drop 6 or more other new features.

Sui’s DEX volume also surged 245% during Q1. Cetus Protocol ($CETUS) was one of the biggest winners, with 125% gains for its $CETUS token price. BTCfi also grew 4x. This shows that Bitcoin on Sui is making waves.

The current $SUI price is $3.54. It won’t be long before $SUI is back at its ATH of $5.35 and beyond.

Ripple ($XRP)

Ripple and its $XRP token is my last altcoins pick for today. Their biggest recent news was their $XRP futures ETF approval by the SEC. A logical next step would be the spot ETF. This could give an enormous positive impulse to the $XRP price. At $2.23 this seems like a great entry point.

Currently, there are 72 filings waiting for approval. At least 12 of them relate to $XRP. Can you see where this might be going for the $XRP price? The XRP army is going bonkers over this perspective. Sometimes they, admittedly, go a bit overboard. However, $XRP could see a break-out soon. It is, after all, time to break that ATH of $3.40 from 7 years ago.

The XRP army must be over the moon with all the good news coming out for Ripple and $XRP. The endgame for Ripple is for $XRP to be the rails for international money transfers. Thus, effectively, replacing SWIFT.
