4 New SEC ETF Altcoins Ready To Explode in Q4 of 2025

The long-awaited final leg up for this 2025 bull run keeps us waiting. Still, there are plenty of signs that it will happen during Q3 and/or Q4 of this year. Institutional interest for $BTC and $ETH is one of these indicators. 

Another indicator is the Nasdaq filing an 8-K form to broaden their benchmark index to add 4 new altcoins. With the current 5 assets on the Hashdex Nasdaq Crypto Index US ETF (NCIQ), it will grow to 9. The Nasdaq filed for these 4 altcoins, Ripple ($XRP), Solana ($SOL), Cardano ($ADA), and Stellar, ($XLM). The decision deadline for the SEC is 2nd November 2025.  Are these the next ETFs in the making? And will these altcoins do a 5x or more?

Ripple ($XRP)

Ripple ($XRP) manages to stay in the center of attention. I recently posted a very popular video about $XRP only a few days ago. Check it out here. However, ever since, Ripple came up with some very interesting news and updates. So, let’s dive straight into that.

Ripple announced its own EVM side chain. Axelar is one of the bridge providers. This is big, since this links the XRPL chain to Ethereum’s DeFi. It’s still in the testnet phase, but it’s growing fast. Peersyst Technology is one of the builders. It states that 87 new entities are now contributing to the ecosystem. The interesting fact is that most have no prior XRP involvement. That’s only 2 months into the testnet.

Native $USDC is now live on the XRP Ledger. That’s another big step. It’s the second-biggest stablecoin by market cap. However, $USDC by Circle is much more compliant compared to Tether’s $USDT.

Last but not least, Ondo Finance brings tokenized real-world assets to the XRP Ledger. Its flagship short-term US Treasuries fund, $OUSG, is now live on the XRPL. This gives institutions exposure to on-chain US treasuries. It also gives Ripple’s $RLUSD stablecoin utility beyond payments.

Solana ($SOL)

Solana ($SOL) is the comeback kid for a reason. It’s one of the strongest altcoins around. Every time you think Solana is hanging on the ropes, it gets up and comes back stronger. Pump.fun seems to be more dead than alive nowadays. Well, to be honest, that sounds to me like a good thing. However, many people predicted Solana’s downfall when the launchpad crashed. Well, Solana and I need to disappoint you. Let’s look at some recent news coming out of the Solana camp.

Big news over the weekend was that ByBit launched ByReal on Solana. 3 That’s a DEX, potentially competing in the same market as Hyperliquid. So, we’re talking perps here. It’s also one more CEX that enters the DeFi realm.  Launching on Solana is no accident.

We see that a lot more firms start to get digital asset treasury reserves. Meme Strategy is the next one in line. This is a publicly listed company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. It bought 2,440 $SOL. That’s worth around $2.9 million HKD or $383K USD. Although that doesn’t sound like a lot, it’s the first HK-listed firm to invest in the Solana ecosystem. Its stock went up by 20% after this announcement. Furthermore, Fidelity files the S-1 for a Solana ETF. This is getting hot!

Cardano ($ADA)

Cardano ($ADA) also manages to stay in the spotlight. It’s a top 10 contender by market cap. Charles Hoskinson, its founder, is always good for some headlines. Not too long ago, he wasn’t a big believer in Bitcoin. He even said that “I don’t see how Bitcoin survives, it’s a religion, not an ecosystem. Its hashrate will fall, and it will die a slow heat death”.

Shortly after this statement, Cardano started planning to offer L2 functionalities for Bitcoin. Hoskinson stated this about a month later. And if that isn’t enough, now he wants to buy Bitcoin with the Cardano treasury. He said that they can make the Bitcoin work and earn yield. From this yield, the treasury can buy $ADA back. The Cardano community is divided on this. Is this a bold strategy, or is Hoskinson selling off $ADA? 6 What do you think? Let me know in the comments.

Never a dull moment with Charles Hoskinson, that’s for sure. The current $ADA price is 64 cents. Halfway from where it rose to in December last year. Still 79% away from its ATH of $3.09, almost 4 years ago. Can $ADA still do a 5x from here?

Stellar ($XLM)

Stellar ($XLM) is a decentralized payments network. It was launched in 2014, so it’s been around the block. Stellar is also in the top 20 measured by market cap. For a crypto project with such a long history, a very good sign. Over 90% of crypto projects don’t survive more than one bull and bear market. In contrast, Stellar has been around for all of them. 

Its founder, Jed McCaleb, also founded Ripple. However, after a disagreement with another Ripple founder, Chris Larsen, McCaleb founded Stellar by forking XRP. Initially, Stellar aimed more for retail instead of institutions. 

It’s no surprise that Stellar is also very active in the RWA sector. That’s where we can expect massive growth in the next 5 to 10 years. Stellar is currently the third placed blockchain for utilizing RWAs. 

PayPal is bringing its $PYUSD stablecoin to Stellar. A new feature is PayFi. PayPal uses Stellar’s access to 170+ countries. Not to mention that Stellar is fast and offers low-cost transactions. 

The current $XLM price is 26 cents. That’s 70% away from its ATH of 87 cents from 7 years ago. However, over the last year, $XLM has gone up by 167%. In November last year, it went up to 56 cents.
