6 Altcoins to Pump After XRP ETF (Part 1)
There’s a big yet quiet divergence taking place in the market. Big caps are doing OK and some very well. Meanwhile, small cap and midcap projects are getting crushed out there.

You may have noticed a divergence in the market lately. That’s a fancy word for some altcoins moving while others aren’t. Have you seen it? Small and midcaps altcoins, even in the hottest sectors like AI and RWA, are mostly suffering hard. Here’s a good example. Plume in RWA is a project we like. It’s down 39% in the last 30 days. And you know what isn’t down 39% in the last 30 days?
Almost ALL Big Caps altcoins. That’s the divergence I am talking about. XRP is up 2% over the last 30 days. That’s already better. Once the XRP ETF passes and comes online, it and other big caps will outperform even more. The market is telling us big caps are a better bet. So in the first of 2 parts, we look at 6 big caps altcoins we think will pump in the 2nd half of 2025.
1) AVAX
First up today is a big cap we’ve been sleeping on for a while. I bet you have been, too. It’s Avalanche. Avalanche has the C-Chain, so it can be part of EVM and do stablecoin transactions and all that. Transactions are WAY up all over the network. But one of the most attractive features of Avalanche is its work in non-financial areas. Areas where we think blockchain would be helpful to society.
Such as digitizing property records for easy access and maintenance. When Avalanche does this to bring hundreds of billions worth of property deeds on-chain, that’s a win for owners and their city governments. And then there is the gaming. Subnets are bringing new life to games that can get the fast, cheap transactions they need without interrupting gameplay. Off the Grid is one of many games that call Avalanche home.
AVAX has no bad news going on. And yet it’s down 70% from its recent December high of $54. Overall, it’s down 40% in the last 12 months. The thesis here is simple. If you believe in projects with utility that are doing things and have real users, then you need to be watching Avalanche.
2) LINK
Another of these altcoins we love, but it seems like we don’t talk about enough, is Chainlink. With Chainlink, you have the single leading piece of infrastructure that ALL DeFi protocols need, and all RWA protocols too. And we know how fast RWA is supposed to grow. BlackRock has been telling you for months that it will be a multi-trillion-dollar market.
With partners like Mastercard to do real transactions, it would just be foolish to write them off. And now Chainlink is the price oracle for xStocks tokenization of stocks on Solana, launching today. LINK is flat for the last 12 months. Yet, thanks to the crazy last couple of months, that’s a better-than-average ROI from an alt. Its recent high from December is $29, and it’s currently trading at $13.30.
Anything under $25 is a steal, honestly. It’s one of the best projects in our industry and is a key piece of infrastructure for one of the fastest-growing sectors.
3) LTC
There’s no doubt in my mind that the least talked about project in the top 30 by market cap is Litecoin. We know you’ve noticed that only the big caps are moving. The small and midcaps are getting crushed. Yet, people know this and still sleep on Litecoin. Yes, it’s a full 3.5X off its all-time high of $350. But it’s up 20% over the last year. That’s more than most projects. And it’s a great buy anytime it’s under $100, as it is now. Litecoin is an amazing solution to 2 big problems crypto tries to solve. Payments and Privacy.
Payments you probably already knew about. With $7.5 billion in LTC sent in the last 24 hours, the chain is very active. And the median transaction size is only $178 or just over 2 LTC. That’s despite an average transaction size of over $42,000. This means big and small payments alike are finding a home outside of stablecoins on Litecoin. With an average transaction fee of 4/10ths of a cent, these fees compete with the lowest fees of any L1.
And unlike our best stablecoin solutions right now, Litecoin is a far more decentralized form of money. It’s not even close. No one can censor an LTC transaction or address the way you can with USDT or USDC. Litecoin was developed specifically as a payments platform. It has 4x more tokens than Bitcoin and 4x faster blocks than Bitcoin after forking the Bitcoin chain. Then there is Mimblewimble. So far, it’s the only chain with privacy that has no issues with governments or regulators.
Since late 2022, Mimblewimble has added a scaling solution and privacy by hiding transaction details. It’s proving to be an ideal solution for users who demand at least some privacy, and governments and regulators. Regulators don’t feel a need to persecute Litecoin the way they do with Monero. $LTC has been trading in a range between $46 and $100 from June 2022 until now, rarely breaking out to either side. December through March saw a period of over $100, and we expect a return there and higher.
You may need some patience for this one. This is also a pick for those who like to go in different directions from the obvious ones in the market. Those who like to zig when others zag. Litecoin is a bet on decentralization, non-stablecoin payments, and privacy.
