Aurora Intents Opens Elara's Ethereum Yield to Solana Wallets

Aurora Intents connects Solana wallets to Elara Finance's Ethereum treasury product, so stablecoins can be deposited and staked in two signatures.

Aurora Intents has connected Solana wallets to Elara Finance's Ethereum-based treasury product, so stablecoins already sitting in your Solana wallet can go to work without a bridge and without a second wallet to manage.

Aurora Labs announced the integration on Oct. 15 and said the Solana route is live in Elara's app, with deposits and withdrawals run from the same wallet you started with.

The case for building it is simple. Declan Hannon, Aurora Labs' chief executive, said every extra step between a user and a product costs that product deposits. Sebastien Davies, Elara's head of strategy, said the integration is aimed at stablecoins that people already hold on Solana, rather than asking those holders to take on another wallet.

Two Signatures, Then the Money Is on Ethereum

Here is the mechanism, step by step.

  1. You sign a deposit transaction from your Solana wallet.
  2. The funds arrive on Ethereum, where Elara mints elUSD, its dollar-referenced treasury asset.
  3. You approve a second transaction from the same Solana wallet to stake that elUSD as sELUSD. Elara says the staked token earns yield from stablecoin market making.
  4. The elUSD and sELUSD stay on Ethereum, in an account controlled by your Solana wallet.

Aurora Labs says Aurora Intents does not hold the funds at any point. Exiting runs the same path backwards: you unstake sELUSD, redeem elUSD for stablecoins, and the funds return to the Solana wallet you came from.

Elara's own site describes elUSD as a dollar-referenced treasury asset built for capital efficiency, turning idle stablecoins into a productive position through managed yield strategies.

The Solver Network Behind It

Aurora Intents settles through NEAR Intents, a solver network built by NEAR Protocol. Aurora Labs puts more than $34 billion of processed transactions on that network and is clear that the figure describes the network, not deposits flowing into Elara.

Aurora's own Intents page lists smaller numbers: $32 billion settled to date through NEAR Intents, and $4.5 billion in monthly settlement volume across more than 30 chains. The two sets may be measuring different things, and neither has been independently confirmed. What matters for this story either way: none of those dollars are Elara deposits.

The same page says Aurora Intents covers more than 120 assets across 30 or more networks, EVM and non-EVM, and calls itself one integration to swap, deposit and execute across chains, non-custodially. Its Intents Connect product lets a team define an intent across any asset, chain or action and leave routing, conversion and settlement to Aurora, the kind of plumbing that makes a Solana-to-Ethereum yield route possible without the user ever touching Ethereum directly.

What the $34 Billion Figure Does Not Measure

What is solid here is the mechanism and who says what. The deposit, the mint, the second approval and the withdrawal path all come from Aurora Labs' description of its own product, and Elara's page backs the elUSD description.

What is not on the table is scale. The one large number attached to the announcement, the $34 billion for NEAR Intents, measures the solver network, not money that has moved into Elara. If you are weighing the yield on sELUSD, the useful next data points are how much stablecoin actually travels the Solana route into elUSD, and what the market-making strategy behind the staked token has returned once there is a track record to look at.
