Token unlocks are a part of the crypto sector. They influence the volatility of a token. In June 2025 there are $2.7 billion of unlocks.
While it seems June can be a good month for crypto, some altcoins might face volatility as there will be around $2.7 billion worth of token unlocks in June. We can expect $369 million just in the first week of June alone.
Taiko ($TAIKO) is the first token unlock I want to cover for June. It’s a cliff unlock, and not the biggest one in dollars. Although, with around $47 million, it comes in at a good second-biggest cliff unlock this month. However, what makes this unlock remarkable is that it represents 69.37% of the circulating supply. This almost guarantees price volatility. This unlock takes place on 5th June.

So, this is a great example of showing that dollar numbers are not the important metric. In contrast, it emphasizes that the percentage number can have a much bigger influence on volatility. My next token unlock pick has the biggest number in dollars.
But let’s get back to Taiko, look at this massive cliff in this vesting picture. If you hold $TAIKO at its current $1.97 price, you may want to consider selling it. If you are a strong believer in Taiko, buy back after the 5th.

The next unlocking event covers Ethena ($ENA). Today it unlocked 40.63 million $ENA tokens, or $12 million. Also on the 5th of June, the same date as Kaito, it unlocks another 171.88 million $ENA. This is worth $53 million. So, in the first week of June, Ethena unlocks $65 million. That’s the biggest cliff unlock this week in dollars.

However, percentage wise, it’s only 2.95% of the circulating supply. Remember the difference with Kaito? That was almost 70%. So, you can expect less volatility for $ENA.
Nonetheless, this unlock is for core contributors and investors. So, you can expect selloffs. However, Ethena is also currently in the spotlight. Another reason why this unlock may get absorbed a lot easier.
Sui Network ($SUI) is the leader for this month, with a 44 million $SUI unlock. That’s only 1.3% of the circulating supply. However, it was worth $143 million on 1st June. Currently, Sui has only unlocked 34% of its tokens. So, there are a few more monthly unlocks coming our way. Until May 2026 we will keep getting these monthly unlocks, after that they will reduce in size until 2030. $SUI is on fire though and the unlocks haven’t had a big effect on the $SUI price yet. Here are some more cliff token unlocks for June 2025.
Layer Zero ($ZRO) unlocks 25.71 million $ZRO on 20th June. That’s worth $59 million at the current $ZRO price. However, this is also 23.13% of the circulating supply. So, expect some volatility here. Currently, Layer Zero unlocked 25% of its tokens. Their vesting ends in September 2027.
Aptos ($APT) unlocks 11.31 million $APT on 12th June. That’s worth $54 million. However, Aptos has an infinite token supply. Not tokenomics that I’m a big fan of. See the picture below.

Fasttoken ($FTN) unlocks 20 million $FTN on 18th June. That’s worth $88.6 million. However, the good news here is that it has already unlocked 90% of its tokens. Also, if you look at this chart, $FTN has only been going up since TGE. That’s quite an impressive chart. Their vesting ends 1st January 2026. See the picture below.

The next one up is ZKSync ($ZK). This project unlocks 768.52 million $ZK tokens come 17th June. That’s no less than $41 million and 20.91% of the circulating supply. I do expect volatility here.
Arbitrum ($ARB) unlocks 92.65 $ARB on 16th June. That’s $31.5 million, or 1.91% of the circulating supply.
Optimism ($OP), another Ethereum L2, unlocks 31.34 $OP on 30th June. That’s $20.3 million, or 1.83% of the circulating supply.
Linear unlocks are daily unlocks. So, this is in contrast to structured unlocks. The latter happens most of the time on a monthly basis. However, there are also projects that have yearly unlocks, like Ondo Finance ($ONDO). But let’s take a look at some linear unlocks with high daily worth.
First in this sector is Solana ($SOL). Solana had daily unlocks between 25th May and 1st June of 66.54k $SOL. That’s a bit over $10 million per day at the current price of $154. In total, around $80 million unlocked. During last week, the $SOL price tanked from $178 to $155. However, this may not only have been from the unlocks. The current market condition had an influence as well, with $BTC dropping.
Worldcoin ($WLD) releases 5.32 million $WLD tokens per day. That’s worth an impressive $6 million per day.
Bittensor ($TAO) unlocks 7.2k $TAO per day. That’s worth around $3 million per day. Their vesting ends in December 2030.
So, these linear unlocks don’t seem as big as the cliff unlocks. However, don’t forget that these are daily unlocks. In other words, Worldcoin releases $186million worth of $WLD this month. Bittensor is good for half of that amount, around $93 million. So, that does add up.
