Bitcoin ETFs Pull In $347M as BlackRock Leads Fresh Demand

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs added $347 million on Sept. 23, extending their inflow streak to five sessions as BlackRock's IBIT led with $166 million.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded another strong day of inflows even as Bitcoin slipped below $84,000.

The funds attracted $347 million on Sept. 23, according to SoSoValue data. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) led the session with about $166 million, accounting for nearly half of the total.

The inflows mark the fifth consecutive trading session of positive flows for U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs.

Bitcoin ETF Inflows Stay Strong

The latest inflow is smaller than the huge numbers recorded earlier this week, but it remains notable given Bitcoin's price weakness.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted about $159.5 million on Sept. 17 and another $433 million on Sept. 18. The inflows then surged to $998.95 million on Sept. 21, marking the largest single-day inflow in about 11 months.

On Sept. 22, the funds added another $714.75 million, taking the two-day total above $1.7 billion. Altcoin Buzz previously reported on the surge as Bitcoin moved above the average ETF holder's cost basis.

IBIT led both major sessions, bringing in $381.4 million on Sept. 21 and another $350.3 million on Sept. 22.

Ethereum ETFs Also See Strong Demand

Demand was not limited to Bitcoin.

U.S. spot Ether ETFs recorded another $105 million in inflows on Sept. 23. BlackRock's ETHA accounted for $50.8 million of that total.

Combined, U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ether ETFs attracted about $452 million during the session.

The broader flows suggest that institutional demand is extending beyond Bitcoin even as the crypto market faces short-term price pressure.

Bitcoin Price Drops Below $84K

Bitcoin recently fell below $84,000 after reaching around $87,000 earlier in the week.

The pullback followed a sharp rally that pushed BTC above $85,000 and triggered hundreds of millions of dollars in short liquidations.

Related: $300 million in crypto shorts were liquidated in one hour as Bitcoin surged toward $85,000.

Despite the correction, ETF investors continued adding exposure.

That divergence is worth watching. A falling Bitcoin price alongside strong ETF inflows could indicate that some investors are using the pullback to build positions rather than exit them.

ETF Demand Recovers in 2026

Bitcoin ETFs spent much of 2026 dealing with periods of net outflows. The recent streak has changed that picture.

The latest inflows have pushed U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs back into positive territory for the year, while Bitcoin has recovered sharply from its September lows.

The key question now is whether the strong demand can continue after the exceptional inflows seen earlier this week.

For now, five straight sessions of positive flows show that institutional demand has remained firm despite Bitcoin's latest pullback.
