Spot Bitcoin ETFs continued to attract institutional capital on Aug. 27, recording $242.30 million in net inflows and extending their winning streak to nine consecutive trading days.

Ethereum ETFs matched Bitcoin's momentum, bringing in $235 million on the same day and also reaching nine straight sessions of positive inflows.

The parallel streak highlights continued demand for exposure to the two largest cryptocurrencies through regulated investment products.

Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF Demand Moves in Lockstep

The latest inflows follow a period of strong buying across both Bitcoin and Ethereum funds.

BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) previously contributed $209 million to a $338 million daily inflow for spot Bitcoin ETFs on Aug. 24. On the Ethereum side, BlackRock's ETHA accounted for $90.92 million of the category's $116 million inflow on the same day.

The two ETF categories have largely moved together since their current streak began on Aug. 17. By Aug. 20, both had reached four consecutive days of inflows, and the buying continued through Aug. 27 without interruption.

Last week, the two categories recorded their largest combined week since October, attracting approximately $2.3 billion in inflows.

Rather than showing capital rotating from Bitcoin into Ethereum or vice versa, the data suggests that institutions have been building exposure to both assets at the same time.

Bitcoin traded near $80,000 on Thursday, up 2.12% over 24 hours, while Ether changed hands near $2,480.

Total net assets across spot Bitcoin ETFs stood at $79.16 billion, with trading volume across the category reaching $8.23 billion, according to CoinGlass data.

The nine-day inflow streak has coincided with Bitcoin's recovery toward the $80,000 area, keeping institutional demand firmly in focus.

Solana and Hyperliquid ETFs Also See Inflows

Institutional demand was not limited to Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Spot Solana ETFs recorded $60.91 million in inflows on Aug. 27, while spot Hyperliquid ETFs attracted $24.42 million.

Although both categories remain significantly smaller than Bitcoin and Ethereum funds, the same-day inflows suggest that investor interest is also extending to selected altcoin products.

Nine Days of Buying Highlights Broad Demand

The most notable part of the latest data is not just the $242.30 million flowing into Bitcoin ETFs in a single day. It is the consistency of demand across both major categories.

Bitcoin ETFs record $242 million in net inflows

Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs have now recorded nine consecutive trading days of net inflows, while Solana and Hyperliquid products also posted positive numbers on Aug. 27.

Sustained ETF demand can become an important factor for the spot market as continued buying absorbs available supply through regulated investment products. For now, the latest data points to broad institutional interest across Bitcoin and Ethereum, with selected altcoin ETFs also joining the trend.

The next key question is whether this buying momentum can continue beyond the current nine-day streak as Bitcoin holds near $80,000 and Ethereum trades close to $2,500.
