These upgrades, along with a 95 percent drop in malicious MEV attacks, are creating a faster and fairer experience for all users.
Looking ahead, BNB Chain is preparing for even more scale. By increasing the block gas limit tenfold, the network aims to support up to 5,000 DEX swaps per second. Key to this leap is a new Rust-based client designed for speed, memory efficiency, and scalable execution. Paired with Super Instructions—optimized smart contract operations—and improvements to the StateDB (the system that connects data storage and smart contracts), BNB Chain is positioning itself to handle complex apps at high volume with ease.
While today’s achievements are impressive, BNB Chain is planning something even bigger. A next-generation blockchain is in development—one that can confirm transactions in under 150 milliseconds and process more than 20,000 transactions per second. The goal is to match the performance of centralized giants like Nasdaq while preserving full decentralization.
This new chain will support advanced apps, native privacy features for secure transactions, and tools for a better user experience, such as multi-signature wallets and seamless logins. With a modular virtual machine built for parallel execution, the future BNB Chain will go beyond current EVM limits and support new kinds of decentralized apps.
