BTC trades near $81,400, on its $81,431 floor. A floor is a price where falls have stopped before.
The price was down about 3% on 22 October. It is now testing that floor, with the price and the level sitting at the same spot. Could the floor turn it once more?
The $81,431 Floor Has Turned BTC 8 Times
The $81,431 floor has turned the price 8 times since late February 2025.
The last of those turns came on 3 September.
The floor sits right at the price now. The price is resting on the level itself, not drifting toward it from above.
The price was down about 6% over the past 30 days.

Trading Ran About 40% Above Its Recent Average
Trading volume is the total value bought and sold. On Binance, it came to $1.60 billion on 22 October.
That was about 40% above its 20-day average. More money than usual changed hands that day.
The price also ended 22 October at its lowest level in 30 days.
BTC Sits Between $81,431 and $83,708
A daily close is the last price of the day.
Above the price sits a ceiling at $83,708, about 3% above. A ceiling is a price where rises have stopped before.
A daily close above $83,708 would put the price over that ceiling. The next level above it is $87,396, about 7% above.
A daily close below $81,431 would put the price under the floor it is testing. The next level below it is $79,800, about 1.9% below.
Neither has happened yet. The price is still resting on the floor itself.

A daily close below $81,431 or above $83,708 would settle the test. Source: Binance BTC/USDT daily prices, to the 22 October daily close, computed by www.altcoinbuzz.io.
BTC's next daily close beyond $83,708 above or $81,431 below would decide how this floor test ends.
