Bybit Adds 1,000+ US Stocks and ETFs, Settled in USDC

Bybit opened trading in over 1,000 US-listed stocks and ETFs on Oct. 12, 2026, funded in USDC and executed through Alpaca. No volume or fee data was disclosed.

Bybit opened trading in more than 1,000 U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs on Oct. 12, 2026, funded with USDC. The exchange announced the launch in a press release dated the same day, naming Apple (AAPL), NVIDIA (NVDA), Tesla (TSLA), Micron Technology (MU) and the Invesco QQQ ETF (QQQ) among the listed securities.

Access is limited to eligible users in permitted jurisdictions who have completed KYC verification. Fractional shares are available on eligible securities.

Alpaca Executes the Orders and Holds the Shares

Orders route through Bybit's regulated brokerage infrastructure and execute through Alpaca, a U.S. self-clearing broker-dealer that also holds the underlying securities in custody. Clearing, settlement and custody sit with Alpaca Securities LLC, doing business as Alpaca Clearing, a FINRA/SIPC member.

Bybit draws a distinction between this product and its synthetic offerings. The company says buyers receive an economic interest in the underlying securities rather than derivative or synthetic price exposure. The legal entity behind the service is Infra Capital Limited, an introducing broker regulated by the Financial Services Commission, Mauritius under license GB23202169.

The distinction matters for anyone who traded Bybit's tokenized equities or TradFi perpetuals, which track a price without a share sitting behind it. Alongside crypto spot and derivatives, the exchange already offers traditional market access through its MT5 platform, tokenized equities and TradFi perpetuals.

"Stocks are an important part of our evolution into The New Financial Platform," said Ben Zhou, Co-founder and CEO of Bybit. "Financial markets have long been separated across different products and platforms, but users increasingly expect a more connected experience."

Yoshi Yokokawa, Co-founder and CEO of Alpaca, called the expansion a step toward a more complete, multi-asset trading experience for Bybit's global users.

Dividends Arrive as USDC, Voting Rights Do Not

Cash dividends are converted from USD into USDC and credited to the user's Unified Trading Account. Stock dividends are reflected directly in the user's position. Voting rights are not part of the launch and are planned for a future phase. Bybit also says some corporate actions may be restricted at this time, and that access and ownership are subject to the Bybit Stocks Terms & Conditions.

Zero Commission, 24/5 Sessions

Trading runs 24/5, covering U.S. pre-market, regular and after-hours sessions, subject to product availability. Bybit says it charges no trading commission on eligible stock purchases and sales.

The exchange puts its user base at more than 80 million worldwide. Zhou framed the broader push as tokenizing real-world assets at scale now rather than as a future ambition.

What the Announcement Did Not Include

Bybit disclosed no trading volume, adoption metrics or fee contribution from the equities service, so the revenue line cannot be sized from the announcement alone. The press release also does not list the permitted jurisdictions, which leaves the addressable user base unquantified.

The practical questions for traders who already hold crypto on Bybit are narrower: which corporate actions are restricted at launch, and whether USDC balances sitting in the Unified Trading Account can be deployed into equities without a conversion step. Only the funding currency is confirmed.

Bybit Stocks is live now per the Oct. 12 announcement. The next figures worth watching are the ones the exchange has not published yet: equity trading volumes and the fee contribution that would show whether this is a real second revenue line or a product listing.
