Binance shared the news in a tweet on June 29, announcing an airdrop of 5,500 $FUEL tokens to eligible users. $FUEL is the native token of the Fuel Network.
Participants can claim the tokens on the Binance Alpha Events page once trading begins, but only for a limited 24-hour window. Furthermore, Binance said it will conduct the airdrop on a first-come, first-served basis.
Additionally, the crypto exchange requires users to spend 15 Binance Alpha Points to participate. Only users who have accumulated at least 170 Alpha Points are eligible. The trading platform also revealed that users who fail to confirm their claim within the 24-hour window could forfeit their tokens.
In addition to the airdrop, Binance plans to launch a trading competition with a massive prize pool of 99 million FUEL tokens. The trading platform will share details of the competition soon. This competition would offer traders another opportunity to engage with the FUEL ecosystem and potentially earn rewards.
Fuel Network is a project building high-performance modular execution layers for Ethereum rollups. Meanwhile, Binance Alpha is a platform for early-stage crypto projects.
