Dogecoin ETFs Post a Record Week, but demand is Concentrated

Dogecoin ETFs posted their largest weekly inflow since launch, but one Grayscale fund took all of Friday's demand and most of the group's assets.

US spot Dogecoin ETFs recorded their largest weekly inflow since launch, but the demand was narrow and uneven. The funds took in $2.89 million in the week ending September 25, according to SoSoValue data cited by BeInCrypto.

That record came 11 days after Bitwise said it would liquidate its Dogecoin ETF. It did not produce a broad rush across the remaining funds. All of the week's inflow arrived during three sessions, and Grayscale's GDOG took every dollar of Friday's $806,060.

A record built on three active days

The previous weekly high was about $2.59 million, recorded in the week ending January 2, 2026. A week before the new record, though, inflows were just $284,510.

That makes the $2.89 million result less steady than the headline suggests. The money entered on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, leaving the rest of the week quiet. That pattern is not unusual for the group. Between July 1 and September 18, the Dogecoin ETFs recorded net flows on only nine trading days.

The week's scale also becomes clearer beside Bitcoin. US spot Bitcoin ETFs brought in $2.39 billion during the same week, more than 800 times the Dogecoin total. Dogecoin's record was real within its own market, but it remained small against the wider ETF picture.

Grayscale is carrying most of the demand

The clearest change since Bitwise's announcement happened at Grayscale. Its GDOG fund's cumulative inflows rose from $11.7 million to $15.46 million.

The other fund's direction was different. Cumulative inflows into 21Shares' TDOG fell from $1.63 million to $1.03 million. That makes GDOG the product attracting the new demand, while TDOG has not shared in the increase.

GDOG now holds $13.87 million, or about 81% of the Dogecoin ETF group's assets. It also handled all of Friday's inflow. The evidence points to concentrated demand in one product, rather than investors spreading money evenly across the available funds.

The report does not identify who bought GDOG shares. It could not show whether the flow came from one institution or many retail investors. For traders, that distinction matters. A concentrated purchase can make an ETF's short-term flow look stronger than the underlying demand.

Bitwise's exit leaves a smaller group

Bitwise will liquidate BWOW, with October 14 set as its last trading day. The fund has lifetime net outflows of $1.23 million and holds $801,400.

Bitwise called the decision a portfolio optimisation, saying it was adjusting its product range to meet changing investor needs. That is the issuer's explanation. The product's own outflows show that it has struggled to attract sustained investment, but they do not establish why the issuer made the decision.

After October 14, only two US spot Dogecoin funds will remain. Grayscale's GDOG will have an even larger share of the group's assets, leaving TDOG as the other option. The product mix will be simpler, but so will the range of places for investors to put new money.

The price test remains unanswered

DOGE traded near $0.098 at the time of the report, with a market value of roughly $15.3 billion. The Dogecoin ETFs collectively held assets equal to just 0.11% of that market value.

So the record week shows a burst of ETF demand, not broad adoption at scale. It also does not show that investors were willing to pay more for Dogecoin itself.

The available report does not provide DOGE's exact price reaction to the ETF flows, including its performance around Bitwise's announcement. Without a checked price series, there is no solid basis to say whether the record inflows moved the coin or followed an existing move.

For now, the clearest conclusion is narrower: Dogecoin ETFs attracted their strongest weekly inflow yet, but nearly all of the visible growth ran through Grayscale, and most of the week's money arrived in three sessions. Whether that changes DOGE's price is a question the available evidence leaves open.
